I don't know about everyone else, but I'm inspired to go see some of the artists we discussed this month! Let's all share current or upcoming Impressionist exhibits where we live.
I'm in NYC, so here are a few of the major shows I've found:
Through May 13 2007, check out the Brooklyn Museum for Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism. There's also a permanent exhibit, "About Time: 700 Years of European Painting."
Wildenstein & Company has an exciting Monet exhibit through June 15, 2007. Over 60 paintings, some rarely or never seen.
The Met features Impressionist and Early Modern Paintings: The Clark Brothers Collection from May 22, 2007–August 19, 2007. And early in 2008, look for their Courbet exhibit.
Let's add to the list! What are some Impressionism exhibits in your area?
