Our September, '09 pick in Shakespeare will be (drum roll).....
King Lear (Barnes & Noble Shakespeare)
Join us as we talk about this classic tragedy from the genius playwright.
Note: We are going to begin a new element of the club this fall--we will be spending two months on some of the plays in order to give readers more of an opportunity to join in as well as to cover the plays in more depth. We will begin this with Lear, so we will be talking about this play beginning in September and running through October!

King Lear, 4. 6Hope you'll stick around, friery! Love reading your posts! :D
Thanks.
BTW, I picked up a copy of your Emily Dickinson biography at the library a few days ago. I'm really enjoying it--it humanizes her, instead of treating her like an icon.

friery--I was just skimming through this thread again and noticed that I didn't see this note at the bottom of one of your earlier posts. I hope you enjoy the ED bio. Yes; I was definitely trying to "see" her as a person--rather than--as my fellow Dickinson scholars would say--the "Myth of Amherst."
