For April in Shakespeare, in honor of National Poetry Month, we'll return to the lovely sonnets!
If you've been visiting the Shakespeare Book Club for awhile, you know that we have started a sonnets thread where we are reading and discussing them in order. Looks like we will take them back up around Sonnet #24, though I'd like to return to the last 2 or 3 before that first, because discussion of them fell off during the holidays in December when we last spent a month on the sonnets.
The sonnets are so beautiful, and often only a handful get attention in our various school experiences, so I hope you'll join us to talk about them throughout April. We generally talk about a couple of them per week. We've been noticing interesting threads and patterns by reading them in order as well.
