Re: Macbeth or Hamlet

it's bad luck to say Macbeth and i pick neather i never read
What's Montague? It is nor hand nor foot,
Nor arm nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O be some other name!

What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet

Re: Macbeth or Hamlet

SMCP05 WROTE: I read both for my AP Literature class and I would probably say that I preferred Hamlet over Macbeth. It had a much stronger basis in thought than action, and the hesitation of Hamlet to take action seemed to build suspense as to how the play would end. I found the psychological struggles, especially the "to be or not to be" speech, extremely interesting. Also, Hamlet's witty comments show Shakespeare at his best. Smart cop graduating in 05, has Shakespeare helped your understanding of the human condition?
