Re: Windows Vista?

just recently upgraded to Windows XP from Windows ME as i figured Vista may be delayed and then have possible glitches as with any new release. Windows XP will be a supported platform for some time don't you think?

Re: Windows Vista?

Here's the official take on support lifecycle:
XP Pro - Mainstream support will end two years after the next version of this product is released. Extended support will end five years after mainstream support ends.

XP Home - Mainstream support will end two years after the next version of this product is released.

Hope this helps!

Adrian,
I looking forward to the release of Windows Vista. I decided to hold off
buying a new laptop until its release. I am looking forward to some new toys.
I am hoping some of my old software will run on it however.

Cheers,
Kate

I think you did the right thing - and now you've only got a few weeks to wait for Vista.

A lot of things are new in Vista but a lot stays the same - Overall I find it a lot more stable though and the security is much better.
