Aruptly everyone stoped talking. The door burst opened.A tall sleek and striked looking woman came in with her black hair following her in a ponnytail.
"Hello class, today we will be learning-"she started. But the rest I didn't hear.
"That's Mrs.Johnson.Our english teacher. She doen't like any of her students except ugly fat pig looking Kristin."Charlotte whispered to me in disgust. I glanced at Kristin who was at front of the room.
Mrs.Johnson looked at me with her amazing dark chocolate brown eyes."As you can see we got a new student.Stand up Caysi James and tell us about yourself." I heard Kristin sniggering.Ohh, how I hate her.
"Well,ummm... I came from all the way from Florida where I lived mostly all of my life. I live with my mother. My hobbies are reading a book, drawing and listening music."I told the class.
Shoot, I thought, I'm making a fool out of myself.I dropped myself on my chair. The whole class kept silence untill...ugly flirting Kristin burst out laughing. The class joined with her except Ian, Charlotte and Mrs.Johnson.Yup I thought I just earned a one way ticket to loserville.
Mrs.Johnson glared at Kristin."Enough!"She yelled.Everyone stoped laughing abruptly.
"Anyone who laughed at Caysi a moment ago gets detention tonight. That means you too Kristin."Now it was my turn to laugh.Everyone else groaned except Ian and Charlotte.
The rest of class pased slowly. I never thought it could be so boring. Still I kept smiling at Kristin who narrowed her eyes at me. Finally the bell rang and we were free to go. People glanced at me when they thought I wasn't looking.Ian and Charlotte catched up with me."Wow,that was amazing. I thought I would never see Kristin getting detention from Mrs.Johnson." Ian and Charlotte started at the same time.
Someone pushed by me and turned around to face us.It was Kristin. She glared at me with her hateful eyes."You will pay for this."She turned around to face the front and went down the hall.
I'll like to see you try, I thought, good luck. You will need it pig-face.

"We could do pizza."
03-09-2009 09:09 PM
Charlotte and I headed off to Lunch, Ian said he had to meet up with some other friends. Which left me rather disapointed.
Charlotte found a table along the side of the cafe for us to eat. The cafe was bursting with students, all sitting around Kristin's table. Kristin was sitting toward the back with about 10 other Barbie- Clones, all giggling and smirking about something or other.
Charlotte noticed me gazing at them. "Don't worry about it Caysi, they are just a bunch of over stuffed jerks." I nodded in agreement.
From the entrance of the Cafe, I spotted Ian. "Hey Charlotte, do you want to invite Ian over?" I felt awkward asking, but I wanted to see him again.
Charlotte scuffed. "No way, he never sits with me. Guess he's too cool..." But as she talked, I couldn't help but look over at Ian. He caught my eye, and gave me a wave. Startled, I gave a smile, which he returned. Ian begain to head over to our pathetic little table. Then Kristin intercepted him.
They were atleast 10 feet away from me, but Kristin's sing-sing-sweet voice traveled across to our table. "
"Hey cutie," she said, placing her delicate hand around his waist. "Come sit with me today. You know you want to..." She whispered into his ear. I couldn't help ignore the expression of disgust on Ian's face, which reassured me a little.
Evidently, Kristin couldn't ignore it either.
"Oh baby, let's go." She entertwined her arm with his and steared him away from our table.
"We could do pizza."

I was fuming. All the stress from moving here, from being called klutz all day, all the crap Kristin threw at me, all of it bubbled to the surface. I picked up my roll, and chucked it at Kristin.
Charlotte didn't notice, she had been discussing an English assignment with a girl at the table next to us. The only two people who noticed that something was thrown, were Kristin herself, and Ian.
But they didn't know who threw it, so I busied myself with getting my milk carton open. They didn't even suspect me. Kristin stuck her nose in the air and walked away, leaving Ian behind her in her haste to look queenly. He was gaping at the roll on the ground, then around the cafeteria.
He walked over to us, and said, "Whoever threw that, I am so thankful. I didn't want to eat with a bunch of princesses from hell."
"Good point," Charlotte and I answered together. I smirked.
"Caysi?" Ian asked, looking at my smirk.
"What?" I asked.
"Did you do that?" His eyes were wide.
"My secret. I do know who did that. Be me, or not, she or he accepts your thanks."
Ian looked totally confused, so I started eating. We only had five more minutes till we had to go to our next class. I stuffed my face and chewed, then dumped my tray.
[if someone's got something better, just ignore my post, it was off the top of my head. I was thinking of Lambert's Cafe, the place where they throw the rolls at you...]

The rest of the day was just as boring as the morning. On top of a mountain of homework assignments, the fact that Charlotte swears our Preforming Arts Director, Professor Gibbs, is a zombie, and that I bearly saw Ian for the rest of the day, Kristin was in almost every class of mine. Almost every class.
The last class of the day was Art, which was prehaps the only thing i had been looking foward to all day. Charlotte brought me to the back of the building, and down 2 long passages, into a room anyone could have mistaken for a janitor closet. Compared to the rest of the building, the Art Room could have been considered-dingy. But it was fantastic in my eyes. The room was plastered with art work, replicas of famous paintings, and originals that must have been done by the students. It also had a distinct smell of wet clay, and freshly sharpened pencils.
I was too caught up with the room itslef to notice the teacher who sat at the potter's wheel off to the side of the class room.
"G' Morning!" called the teacher.
I glanced back, she was a bright lady with curly brown hair that fell into her green eyes, and a great grin lite up her paint smeared face.
"Hello," I replied, "Uh, I'm Cay-"
"Caysi James!" She finished. "Nice to meet you." She grabbed my hand and gave it a firm, brisk shake. "I'm Miss Richards, you can set up over there." She indicated to a desk by the window. "You'll like it there Caysi, the window will give you creative sparks whenever you need one. And will provide you with enough inspiration to last the rest of the school year." She turned back to her pottery. I couldn't resists the temptation, and i peeked over her shoulder. On the wheel was a block of rich clay, it had no definate shape at the moment. But something about it intrigued me.
Charlotte joined me at my desk, and Miss Richards stepped to the front of the room.
"Excuse me, may I have your attention?" She started.
Crap. She will probably make me stand up in front of everyone.
"We will start the class with some free drawing session, to help get those creative juices flowing." She winked at me and Charlotte. "Take out your sketch pads, and- begin!"
"We could do pizza."
03-10-2009 06:29 PM
I decided to sketch a picture of my home back in Florida, making harsh, angry lines with my pencil and very dark shading. I didn't even realize that I was so angry until I got to sketching. I was so absorbed in my work, I didn't notice when Miss Richards came up behind me.
"You know, you can always tell how someone is feeling by the way they've drawn." I looked up at her and tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear. "If you ever need to talk, you know where to find me." I studied Miss Richards carefully. She was probably around 26 or 27, and her outfit though not hideous was somewhat eccentric. She wore thick glasses but they suited her. I was surprised she was still a Miss and not a Mrs. Her eyes were unique though. They were green and catlike, specked with hazel. She even had that same ferocity and spirit yet look of contentment which many cats posess. Something about her made you want to Stop and Stare. She began to speak again. "You don't seem to talk very much. I'm assuming that you rather enjoy your privacy? Perhaps an earlier traumatic experiance..."
"I- my dad passed away when I was really little," were the words that rushed out of my mouth.
"Hmmm. I feel sorry for you- that that had to happen when you were so young."
It was at that moment that I instantly knew I would like her. Most people said "I'm sorry," which to me seemed pretty pointless. It's not *their* fault. Maybe their was more to her feline eyes than I had initially thought.
"Keep drawing," she said. "You're a talented artist. A very talented young artist indeed." I turned back to my drawing when I saw Ian out of the corner of my eye. "Excuse me, but I have a pass for Caysi from Guidance," he said. He winked at me and my heart began pounding. It was so not like me to get girly like this.
"Oh yes. They'll be wanting you to check in with them, meet you guidance counseler, the whole shebang. Go on." I packed my stuff and left the classroom.
If we crawl/ Till we can walk again/ Then we'll run/ Until we're strong enough to jump/ Then we'll fly/ Until there is no end.
03-10-2009 08:42 PM
I stepped outside the class, and Ian followed. I felt my heart pound against my ribs, I glanced up at him. I wanted to say something funny. Something that might start up a conversation, make him laugh. But I could only make a slight gasping sounnd in my throat. Completley lost for words, I headed down the hallway.
I turned back to face Ian.
He grinned, and I felt my heart learch. God, he is gorgous.
"Guidence is that way," he pointed in the opposite direction I was facing.
"Oh, right." My face flushed beat red.
"Here," he started to laugh. "Let me show you Caysi. This school is a pretty big place, we don't want you getting lost or anything..."
"Yup... that wouldn't be good," I added lamely.
He laughed again. "Besides, I have Latin right now. I would much rather shofur you around the school." I couldn't tell if he was flirting with me, or just being truthful.
"Oh, Latin can't be all that terrible, Ian!"
"Maybe," he grimaced. "You don't have Professor Jakcobs. He smells like old celery and waffles."
I burst out laughing. "Gosh Ian, you are pretty random."
He shrugged. "Maybe."
We were pretty quiet for a little while after, until Ian spoke up again.
"So Caysi, hows your first day of school going so far? Do you like New York?"
"Oh well I have nothing against New York itself." I comented. "Just the students in this school are lousy." I felt the irritation from throughout the day swell in my chest.
"Caysi James, you think I am lousy?" He snapped teasingly. "I am so astouned!"
"Oh Ian, I didn't mean you or Charlotte," I stammered.
He chuckled. "Just kidding you Caysi," he smiled. "Hey, you don't have any big plans for tonight, do you?" He spoke cautiously, like he was afraid he would stumble over his own words.
"What?" I prayed I hadn't misheard him. "Tonight?"
"Oh no Caysi!" He said, "I mean if you don't want to, I mean it is only your first day. You don't want me to-"
"We could do pizza."

I bit back a smile. Was he asking me out on a date?
"...to uhmm, show you around?" he asked. Man, he sounded nervous.
Maybe i was misinterpreting the entire situation. Maybe he really did just want to show me around.
"Oh..." I tried to sound enthusiastic but i heard the disappointment in my own voice. "Well, okay."
"Good... I have to go. Bye," he said and walked away. I stood there for a couple of seconds reprocessing what had just happened in my head. Who was i kidding? Ian doesn't like me, I thought. He's just being nice.
"Well, well well..." i turned to see Kristin round the corner towards me. "if it isn't the little freak drooling over Ian."
"Shut up," i said and sidestepped her. She blocked my path.
"Just so you know... Ian is off limits." She smirked at me.
"Moi, of course." she said it as if she were the Queen of England. I rolled my eyes.
"So back off or you'll regret it."
"Kristin, I could care less who you consider 'off limits'. And i'm pretty sure Ian doesn't even acknowledge your existence. I mean, his disgusted look everytime you come near is clearly visible. But if you choose to ignore it then i'll let you be." I said.
"You are so dead Caysi," she said and turned on her heel. She walked down the hall and looked back once to shoot me a death glare.
I sighed. The wicked witch of the west has finally departed.
This is going to be a greeeat year, I thought as i headed into the counselign office.
03-11-2009 07:19 AM
The counselor basically just told me to be on my best behavior, and to never feel embarrassed about coming to see her if there were any problems. I walked out of the counselor's office, and nearly run headlong into Ian. He seems to pop up everywhere...
"Oh, sorry Ian." I said, backing up a step.
"That's fine." He said, a little awkwardly, "Umm.. Charlotte said that you might be in need of an escort to the front door... she said you probably couldn't find it."
I sighed. "She's probably right." Ian grinned at me, and held out his arm.
"Well, Dame Caysi, shall I escort you to the door?" he asked in a British accent.
I giggled, "That would be divine," and took his arm.
[[sorry, a bit short, but I'm gonna be late for school if I don't hurry...]]
03-11-2009 03:27 PM
We stepped out of this asylum, and outisde into the crisp fall air. Ian spent our entire walk to the front door telling me stories of New York, of his friends, and embarassing stories of Charlotte. But, Ian was interested in my stories of Florida.
"Do you miss your old home?" he asked.
"I did," I admitted.
"What do you mean by that Caysi?" He questioned, smiling.
I laughed. "Oh nothing, Ian..." I drifted off.
12 great yellow buses awaited my arrival. I turned back to face Ian.
"Well thanks for showing me the way out, I think I definatley needed all the help I could get today." I looked into his prefect face, and he grinned.
"No problem Caysi," he waved goodbye.
I stood at the entrence to the school giggling like an idiot, watching Ian stride off to the parking lot. I was still in a daze from the events from that day. I had made mortal enimies with the school's most popular girl, but on a positive note, I made two really great friend. And Ian sort-of asked me out!
"We could do pizza."
03-11-2009 06:24 PM
My new home was a mess. We'd officially moved in a week ago, but only one third of all our junk had been unpacked. I grabbed the key from under the doormat and put it in my pocket. My mom could be so empty headed sometimes. I mean honestly, under the doormat?
The living room was about the only room in the entire house that looked slightly normal. All our furniture was in place and there was very minimal boxes laying about. I took off my coat and hung it in the closet. I was about to go into the kitchen when my feet slid out from under me. I landed with a thump on the carpet, groaning. Looking down by my feet I found the culprit.
"Brian! I'm going to kill you, you little twerp!" I screamed, furious. I had tripped over his stupid action figures again. I heard giggling from behind me. I turned around and saw Brian peeking around the banister on the stairs.
"Pick up your crap!"I yelled at him, while aiming his stupid action figure at his head. Brian squealed and ran back upstairs. I glared furiously after him. I so hated my little brother. I heard the garage door open. Great, mom was home, I thought sardonically. My mom flooded through the door in a wave of perfume. I gagged slightly at the overwhelming scent of liliac.
"Hey sweetie!" she said planting a lip stick kiss on my cheek. "How was your day?!" I tried in vain to rub away the sticky red gloss.
"It was pretty good," I said, thinking of Ian.
"Oh that's so great! I'm happy your liking school. I wasn't sure if you would fit in with such a stuffy school," she said smiling at me. One thing great about my mom was that she acted like a teenager the majority of the time. She always really understood what I was thinking. The downside to that however is that not only did she think like a teenager, but she acted like one as well. I don't know how many times I was fishing her head out of a toilet at three in the morning after some stupid party.
"Ya it's not so bad. I have this gorgeous teacher for psychology. He must be in his early thirties, but he is extremely good looking," I said while grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge. My mom's eyebrows peaked.
"Oh really?" she asked grinning.
"Will you at least wait till parent teacher conferences before you try to hit on him?" I asked pleadingly. I did not want my teacher to think that my mom was some lonely middle aged woman who hit on her daughters teachers.
"I'll try to resist," she said winking at me. I couldn't help smiling.
"Hey, I'm gonna go take a shower, 'kay?" I said grabbing my back pack off the floor. My mom just nodded her head and started working on supper. I pounded up the stairs, my back pack thudding against my back. Yay for new textbooks, I thought. I threw my bag onto my bed, amid other piles of junk. In my madness to get ready this morning I ended up throwing all my clothes out of my boxes, trying to find socks. I kicked off my shoes and took off my blazer and skirt. One of the best things about our new house was that I got my own bathroom. No more sharing with the twerp.
I quickly stripped down and hopped into the shower. The steam curled my hair, as I washed off the days filth. I was just rinsing my hair when suddenly I heard the toilet flush. The water changed from burning hot, to freezing cold. I screamed, falling out of the shower.
"BRIAN! YOU ARE SO DEAD!" I screamed, ripping a towel off of the rack. I wrapped it around myself and ran out the door.
"Mother! Brian flushed the toilet on me again!" I screamed as I pounded down the stairs, my hair dripping wet. I turned onto the landing and froze. Sitting in my living room with my mother was none other than Ian.
03-11-2009 06:41 PM
"Ian," I whispered, staring at him, my towel slipping a little. Mom giggled hysterically. I looked down. "Oh, crap." I said, then ran back up the stairs, wild and unbelieving.
Why the heck is Ian here? He said not today... of course, I was probably really dazed when he was asking...
I was so screwed. He was going to laugh, and I'm never good around people when I've been embarrassed that badly.
I got dressed and combed my hair, and tip-toed downstairs. Ian and my mom were talking.
"That was an interesting sight." My mother was so immature sometimes.
"Ahh..." Ian mumbled. I peeked around the doorway. He was looking down, face really red.
"What was it you were going to ask me?"
"Oh, yeah." He looked relieved to change the subject. "I wanted to show Caysi around town. She probably didn't know I was coming today..." He let the sentance drift off.
03-11-2009 07:12 PM
I walked down the stairs. My mom was still giggling at me which was extremely embarassing.
"Uhmm... I guess we can go now," i said uncertainly. This was the most awkward situation ever!
"Yeah. It was nice to meet you Ms. James," said Ian and smiled at my mom. As he turned to walk out the door, my mom shot me this 'you go girl' look. I couldn't help but laugh.
We walked outside in silence. I kept trying to think of somethign to say but i couldn't come up with anything.
"So... Where's Charlotte?" i asked finally.
"Home. If you want her to come i can call her," he said.
"Well at least she didn't witness this awkward situation," i muttered.
Ian looked at me horrified. "I'm sorry... I should've called."
we started laughing at this and the tension broke between us.
"Where are we going?" i asked as i got in his car.
"It's a surprise," he said and when he smiled my heart leaped.
03-11-2009 08:04 PM
"Will you please tell me where we're going?" I asked pleadingly. Ian grinned and shook his head.
"Telling would be ruining the surprise," he said, turning onto a busy street. The huge skyscrapers looked totally alien to me. I stared at them from my window, completely entranced by the bright lights and noise. New York was definitely growing on me. I finally tore my eyes away from the scene around me and took my chance to study Ian more closely. His shaggy black hair curled around his ears and at the nape of his neck. His strong jaw line was lined with short stubble and his lips were surprisingly full for a guy. Ian caught me looking at him and he grinned back at me, showing his dimples. I was head over heels.
"Almost there," he said, his grin widening. I couldn't contain my excitement. I had no idea where we were going, not that it mattered. As long as I was with Ian I would be the happiest girl on earth.
"Here we are!" Ian exclaimed. "The Museum of Modern Art!"

I stood next to Ian, lost for words.
"Oh my God, Ian, this is, this is so-" I flustered, and stumbled over my own words. "I- can't believ-"
"Do you like it Caysi?" Ian's voice was so sincere, and nervous.
"Yes, of course I am Ian." I begain to shake with joy. Ian broke into a broad grin.
"Ladies first," and like a gentleman, he lead me to the door.
We did not leave the museum until 6pm. When we were kick out by a crabby guard.
"Times up love birds," he hollared at Ian and I. We blushed as we headed out the door.
"Somebody is cranky," Ian mutterd in my ear. I broke out laughing, and the security guard glared at me.
The museum was only a 15 minute walk from my house, but it took Ian and I over an hour to get back home. We wandered about the city, gazing at sites. Side-by-side.
"It all looks better in the daylight," Ian reasurred me. "I'll show you another day." He squeezed my waist. "?I'll show you the city, from ever stinkin sewer," I giggled. "To every famous buildin, place and person. I'll show you it all." He whispered in my ear.
I looked into his perfect eyes, that glistened in the moon light glow.
"I think your mother will be wondering what I've done with you," he laughed.
"I don't care at all," I hissed back.
"Well I have to bring you home sometime Caysi."
But, I never wanted the night to end.
Finally, Ian lead me back up my front steps.
"So Caysi, I hope you had a great time tonight."
"Yes Ian." I had a fantastic time.
"Good night Caysi."
"We could do pizza."
03-12-2009 10:51 PM
aww i don't want it to end... but i can't think of anything else.
i like add-ons though, so if you guys want we could start a new one? or not?
