Add On

I was wondering if anyone would like to do an add on with me?  I'll start.  Add on if you wish!

"Name?"  A red haired women asked me from behind a big, black computer.  Her fingers typed quickly on the hidden keyboard.  I could hear her nails tap the desk she was sitting at when she finished typing.  "Name?"  She asked again.

I adjusted the school bag on my shoulder and coughed, clearing my throat.  "Oh.  My name."

"Yes,"  She leaned away from the computer and faced me.  "your name."  When I didn't say anything for a minute she added rudely, "What is it?"

Name, name.  I have to come up with a name!  What is my name?  "Oh, well you see my name is-"  I was interrupted by a tall man with short, blonde hair walking into the office where I was.

"Hello, Ms. Krest.  Here to drop of your mail."  The man said.  He looked about twenty.  Maybe younger.

"Thank you, Carson.  How sweet."  Ms. Krest took the mail and sat it on top of her computer.  "Run along now."  Carson nodded at Ms. Krest and smiled at me as he left.

Weird.

People never smiled where I come from... At least not like that.

Re: Add On

Me too!!!:smileyvery-happy:

"Well?" she asked, an icy chill to her voice.

I had to think of something quick. Not because I wanted to hide my identity like in crime shows, if only.

I just... Didn't know.

Name......

"uhhhh...Mmmmmm.."

I looked down at my hands, little half-moons of dirt forming under my nails.

The woman looked up at me, a hint of humor in her eyes hidden behind layers loathing "Um??"

"No, Laura." There, that sounded like a decent enough name, right?

"Laura?"

"Yup!, that's me!" I said with a fake little smile

"take a seat, Laura, this could take a while."
