Re: Book Sharks: Book list for March

Since the movie is out March 23. I think a good pick would be. The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins.

Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly

"Two girls, two centuries apart. One never knowing the other. But when Andi finds Alexandrine’s diary, she recognizes something in her words and is moved to the point of obsession. There’s comfort and distraction for Andi in the journal’s antique pages—until, on a midnight journey through the catacombs of Paris, Alexandrine’s words transcend paper and time, and the past becomes suddenly, terrifyingly present."

I've had my eye on that one for a while...

I like the idea of reading Hunger Games in conjuction with the film release, but in case some have already read it, I suggest this one with a very similar theme but VERY different style -

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

""You can't touch me," I whisper.

I'm lying, is what I don't tell him.

He can touch me, is what I'll never tell him.

But things happen when people touch me.

Strange things.

Bad things.

No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal, but The Reestablishment has plans for her. Plans to use her as a weapon.

But Juliette has plans of her own.

After a lifetime without freedom, she's finally discovering a strength to fight back for the very first time—and to find a future with the one boy she thought she'd lost forever."
