With the new year close, and a whole rainbow of new books coming out next year, does it feel a little overwhelming? i have in my qeue of reading, 160 some odd books (i deleted about 40+ from my list), not including new ones coming out, i hate to be so behind because i see alot of your blogs and how your all up on the newest books, but i finally have a chance to read all the ones i havent yet..
reading is stressfull lol

I know exactly what you mean. I haven't stopped reading all break! I go to college courses even though I'm in HS, and that occupies enough of my time. Plus I spend 10+ hours at church every week with youth group stuff in addition to normal service, so it's kind of busy, and I rarely get the time to read. So yes, feeling swamped! Haha

I actually rather enjoy it. It gives me a safe feeling almost to know that there's always a book waiting to be read that I'm excited about rather than having to scrounge around for one of the books I've read 12 times already or picking up something I don't really want to read.

I think that it is hard to keep up especially taking honors college classes and working and I get shocked when people say they have no clue what to read! Like Luna I have a list of about a 100 books I wanna buy let alone the 60 plus books I own that I havent gotten the time to read yet! I also am at the stage where I'm trying to keep up with adult romance and teen books which means twice as many good book releases.

I do read when I have time between everything that goes on. How do you like having an ereader? I'm not sure if I wanna get a kindle or nook.

i cant really tell yah about the nook other then it turns the pages slower then the kinde (that much i know from boards) and that if you want a nook you need to order online, and wont be getting it untill past febuary its so backed up.
i LOVE my kindle. i dont even miss the paperbacks, and im actually reading more cause i can change the text size to bigger so i can see better and not get headaches or have the squint. and you can have infinate amount of books in it ( and harback books are only 9.99 as apposed to the 15 or so you pay for them in stores!)
im gushing now...

yeah but then you have to pay 200-300 for the ereader then on top of that even more money to buy the ebooks. just seems like a waste of 300 dollars to me especially when in 2-4 years there are always better things in electronics so then you just have to buy a new ereader which is another 300 down the drain. I just am running out of room to put all my books so an ereader would help with space issues. oh well thanks for the input Luna.

With so many new books coming out is overwhelming, but im fine with it because it makes me feel like there's a book im looking forward to, and excited about. So i know i will never be stuck with nothing to read because i have all these books im itching for to come out, and read.

Luna,
I bet about everyone posting loves reading. Reading is a beautiful thing, and I intend not to let oppurtunities like reading slip throught my fingers. I read as much as I can, Though I don't "zip" through books, it doesn't bother me. As the same, so what if your a BIT behind on your reading? So what if you haven't updated your long list of books? It's ALL fine. I get behind once in a while, so does my sister, oh well, it happens to everyone. I may not have a long line of books, but I know what you mean. Again, it doesn't matter if you're behind! :-)
Hope a little encouragement goes a long way,

I know what you mean. It is hard to keep up on the lastest books coming out when you still have other books you haven't even read yet. I think its hard to keep up with the new arrivals especially because of school. All the homework an reading and projects and other stuff tire me out, so I end up not reading as much.
