Crescendo Sneak Peek: News, Schedule & Updates [ Edited ]

Hi everyone! 

Just wanted to let you know that one of our fabulous Letter Blocks bloggers, Sarah-W will be moderating the Crescendo discussion. And although I'm sure many of you have already devoured the entire book, here's the "schedule" for next week.  

General Discussion:

Monday October 4th: Chapters 1-5     

October 5th: chapters 6-10

October 6th: 11-15

October 7th: 16-20

October 8th: 21-25  

Becca Fitzpatrick will be joining the discussion on Monday October 11th!

Glad to see a schedule, I was keeping an eye out for it.  Hopefully some have held off so we can have a good discussion on each section.  If it's anywhere as suspenseful as Hush, Hush then I know I will have to have major willpower to not read on!

I have waited, but only til tonight I think.  It has been most difficult.  I have left it at work(school), so I wouldn't be so tempted.

I have been waiting for this as well. But I will definately read up to chapter 5 tonight. I can't wait any longer. It's been on my desk just calling my name since it arrived.

And of course I'll be away from October 7 to the 11! And the few days before that is all getting work done so I don't have much to make up. I'll have to try to knock it out this weekend!

The book came right as I started my sixth year teaching middle school in West Harlem.  I found it again yesterday and was glad to see I haven't missed the discussion days.  This weekend I plan on having a lot of me time, which means I am going to dive into Crescendo!

I will say this, I have the book in my work bag and some of my 7th graders saw it and went crazy.  I can't wait to read it and hold it over their heads that I read it before them!

I have only read to about page 50 right now. I will be trying to get the book read over the weekend and possibly next week as we are doing the discussions. Can't wait to see what is in store for us.

I'm looking forward to next week.  I actually hadn't read Hush, Hush and downloaded it to my nook last week when Crescendo arrived so I could feel like I had the whole picture.

Oops... I think I jumped the gun. I couldn't help myself though I read Hush, Hush right when I got Crescendo thinking it would tie me over till oct. but I finished it in a day and Crescendo was just sitting there... begging me really. I feel like I just got caught with my hand in the cookie jar and chocolate on my face!

i finished this book in 2 days! Loved it. Please tell me there will be a third book!!! Is this where we will be discussing the book or is there a link???

I just started reading Crescendo yesterday, and my co-workers were giving me crap about only being 20 pages into it. I am trying so hard not to get too far into the book. lol

Yes there is a 3rd book coming in Fall 2011 it is entiled TEMPEST!

Glad to see the schedule...is there going to be a place to discuss the whole book?  Seems like there are a lot of people who have read it all!

i hope there will be a thread for the whole book because after getting through the initial 40 or so pages, which didn't intrigue me as much as i had hoped, i was pleasantly surprised and became a captive and couldn't put it down. i know i will finish it today. if there isn't a thread for the whole book, i will be very careful with my posts not to put any spoilers out there.
