Re: Divergent.

Me too!  It had a great atmosphere, plot, characters and tone.  The violence was a little intense at times, but not enough to put me off.  I wrote a full review if you care to see it.  :smileyhappy:

Re: Divergent.

I saw this book once and it looked good. Do you think I'll like it?

Re: Divergent.

Yes Hunger Games.  I would recommend it to any fans of the Hunger Games series and although it's very different, it has a lot of the same elements I loved from that series.  You would already know that if you read my review, but whatever, I see how it is.  :smileytongue:

Re: Divergent.

Good to hear! I absolutely loved the Hunger Games books and have been looking for similar books. I just got Divergent and, even though I've started the Mortal Instruments series (on City of Glass right now ;-) ), I got hooked from the sample of Divergent thinking that it seemed pretty close. I also read the samples of Wither and Matched but haven't gotten to reading them. Anyone have suggestions for those?

Lol HungerGames, I will have to remember that next time you have a question that I am too lazy to answer, especially considering I already wrote the answer in an easy-to-read, short, and beautifully-written blog!  :smileytongue:

Re: Divergent.

Although Matched & Wither arent action packed they are still good reads.  I think the further we get into the series the more action there will be.  I recommend both of them & can't wait for the sequels to come out!

Re: Divergent.

I finally got this book a couple days ago and I could not put it down.  It was great and am very eager to read the sequal.  I really liked Hunger Games but never read the Mortal Instruments.

Re: Divergent.

I just finished it and really liked it.  It's not quite as good as Hunger Games, but it's pretty close.  I can't wait for the next book to come out!

Re: Divergent.

Just finished this before starting City of Fallen Angels and I have to agree. I loved it! I'm really looking forward to the sequel but, unlike some other books that have planned sequels or are part of a series, I'm still pretty happy about the ending X-D

Re: Divergent.

So I just finsihed it and it was amazing!! I love everything about it... the plot, the setting, the charcters, the whole dystopian world.... Everything about it!! I especially loved how brave Tris was! One other thing I also loved is that the main characters aren't completly perfect... Tris is pretty but she she has her flaws and so does Four... but I still love love love him!! =)

Re: Divergent.

I had this book sitting on my shelf for a few months and when I finally picked it up to read it I finished it in less than 2 days!! It is now one of my favorite books. I am mad at myself now for not reading it as soon as I got it! It is amazing!! I can't wait to read the next one!
