Re: I'm sick and tired of Vampire-Romance Novels

Okay, I kind of agree that there are a hell of alot of vampire books out there and they seem to be like EVERYWHERE.  And they all have to do with some kind of hot guy being all vampirey or something.  Don't get me wrong I enjoyed reading twilight and some of the other books that came out afterwards, but now I'm just kind of sick of it.

Re: I'm sick and tired of Vampire-Romance Novels

I agree!!! My school is crawling with twilight girls (and guys, so gross) and frankly its gettin annoying!

I mean if they all werent so stereotypical it might be okay, but jeez why dont you go write ANOTHER hot vampire guy book. Maybe if the girl was a vampire and all the hot guyz were fallin for  her and she chose the cute nerdy type guy. It would be in the girlz shoes and she respects him for his gentlemen-ness. That would be good.

BTW- Love the goblin idea! Are goblins short? That could be a problem...

I soooo totally agree! The movie MIGHT have been good if it had a bigger budget. The acting sucked, the storyline sucked, the graphics sucked. It just epicly failed on all accounts. Books were waaaayy better

Re: I'm sick and tired of Vampire-Romance Novels

ok im still kinda new but i'll try....

i read the twilight series before everyone was like "oh edward sparkles" and all that other crap

the popularity totally ruined the series

but the mortal instruments series is sooo good but personally, i dont really like simon- hes too clingy and just....yeah

hush hush is a really spiniftified book and not really that popular in my school yet even though djaq and i got all our friends to read it

i would totally read a story about an ugly goblin who falls in love that would b AWESOME!!

but he has to hav some charateristic to distinguish him from all the other goblin/human guys in the school

wow im being a spaz... lol srry

Haha you're friends with djaq?  Hehe.  Sorry I love the girl to death.  :smileyvery-happy:  Wow I totally forgot about this thread.  Too bad Mike's computer is being evil to him...

Totally agree with  ya.  I swear if Hush, Hush becomes the next Twilight it will ruin it for me.  I really liked it even though it seemed like Twilight just turned into angels, but it DID have a better plot line.

Re: I'm sick and tired of Vampire-Romance Novels

yeah... i would hate it if hush hush became the nxt twilight

but the actual writing in hush hush is way better than twilight

they use the word chagrin too much in twilight

lol

and i definately prefer patch to edward anyway

Re: I'm sick and tired of Vampire-Romance Novels

you would say that but patch beats all (well... mayb not all but...)

i loved the part when they were on the roller coaster and then it was just over

i like it when the main guy isnt a vamp because they got old really fast (fallen angels and nephilim are awesome though... hehe jace and patch)

ok thats my two cents

I love how everyone is getting tired of vampires now. I knew this day would come. Everyone was crazy over wizards and then vampires so what is next?

Re: I'm sick and tired of Vampire-Romance Novels

I agree, I'm sick of vampires too. How about a little reality or some scenario that's actually possible. I just found a new wilderness adventure novel called Runaway Storm, and I'm looking forward to reading a story that could actually happen. Guy runs away to kayak some isolated islands, gets chased by cops into a deadly storm ends up on an uninhabited island, meets a Goth girl then runs into drug smugglers. A little fictional reality for a change.

Re: I'm sick and tired of Vampire-Romance Novels

I wonder how some of these books even get published. You can only have so many vampire books where the plots are pretty much exactly the same. A new hot guy shows in high school, and the protagonist girl is inexplicably drawn to him, and falls in love. Argg! I've only read one vampire book, twilight. And i have no inclination to read any more ya books about vampires. I keep reading all these synopsis of new books coming out about vampires (or werewolves), and it seems like they're all the same book. It's extremely tiresome. Come on people, be more creative!
