Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Re: Looking for a book to make me laugh

I thought Babe in Boyland by Jody Gehrman was pretty funny!

Is this the part where you start tearing off strips of your shirt to bind my wounds?
If you wanted me to rip my clothes off, you should have just asked.

I am in that same rut so I aslo looked for books that could make me laugh:

I just got done with Bad Taste in Boys- a fast read that is enjoyable enough especially if you are into zombies lol

Some that I have read previous are:

The Lonely Hearts Club

The Year of Secret Assignments

Carpe Diem

Gamer Girl

The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian

The Ghost and the Goth (Ghost and the Goth Series #1)

The Ex Games

Re: Looking for a book to make me laugh

One of the most hilarious series I ever read was The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams and it is a sci-fi, but I didn't like sci-fi at the time I first read it and I still loved this series anyway.  I recommend it to your whole-heartedly!

The Boyfriend List (Ruby Oliver Quartet Series #1)

You should check out the Ruby Oliver books by e. lockhart. They are laugh out loud funny, and will make you think your life isn't as atrocious as you may have thought. There are four of them...I haven't been disappointed yet.

My Boyfriends' Dogs

I absolutely adored My Boyfriends' Dogs by Dandi Mackall. It's hilarious, with a surprising twist at the end. It's especially good if you're a dog lover like me.
