Hey guys! PLease read and tell me what you think. this is a second part of my previous poem (falling in love) - sort of.
Love - is it really worth it?
Why are you here?
Why do you haunt me?
Can’t you just leave me alone
And make me free?
What do you want?
You’ve taken my heart,
Tore it apart;
Isn’t that enough?
You’re just a mere dream:
Lost, thrown and forgotten;
A part of my yesterday
That is better left rotten.
You shouldn’t be here
Making me guilty,
For I’m not the one who left
And broken a heart so dear.
I was a child back then,
Who knew nothing of the world.
I was stupid to believe in you
And give you my word.
Oh, so foolish to think I’m in love!
I hated myself for trusting you;
Did you keep your promises?
None of them came true!
I once thought that love was
A beautiful thing to have,
But it wasn’t!
It hurts too much to love.
And because of this,
I couldn’t help but wonder:
Is LOVE really worth it?
