Re: Online book club

I can't help observing that so many of the Teen Reads are paranormal fiction.

Is there any interest in coming of age/romance fiction for teenage girls? I

ask this since my YA novel STACY'S SONG has just been published by

L&L Dreamspell in both trade paperback and e-book format. The reviews

so far have been great. But there are no werewolves, vampires, ghouls,

ghosts or zombies. What's your opinion? Will teenage girls consider reading

this novel??

Re: Online book club

okay so many posts from me!  heres a couple ideas.  i am going to throw some out there.  i made a list like i always do of the books that everyone has mentioned so far.  there are a total of 11 books.  so we could come up with one more and go through to May and then start voting for June and after.  I could say that we are going to vote for 8 and just do through to April but there are so many good books it is kind of hard to chose.  what do you guys think?

make the list through May?

Put a limit to 8 books and only go through to April?

let me know as soon as you can so we can get this done and people can start asking for some of these for christmas if they want.

Re: Online book club

Korts- Thanks for all the great posting. I think maybe just go through April because there will be even more great books we will want to read by April and that way if new people join over time their votes can be considered as well at some point so I don't think we should go too far out. But this is just my opinion.

Tiffany- I know you said you wanted to read Thirst pretty soon and I picked up a copy of it today so if you would like we can take that out of the voting and you and I could read it on the side and talk about it with each other. Just an idea, let me know what you think :smileyhappy:

BC- I promise I'm not trying to promote myself here but I just wanted to let you all know that I'm currently giving away a copy of Matched  on my blog and since several of you were some of my first followers ever I would love it if the person that gets drawn as the winner was one of you guys! My blog link is in my signature. Again sorry if this seems like promoting I just want you all to have a chance to win a book that we actually want to read as part of the book club. :smileyhappy:

Sure, sounds good to me.  Do you think anyone else would want to join in?

Tiffany- I'll ask

BC- Hey everyone so Tiffany and I were thinking about reading Thirst #1 on the side since it seems like only her and I were suggesting the book for our voting. So is everyone on board with taking Thirst off the voting and anyone who would like to read it on the side with me and tiffany can.

I will also be reading Vampire Academy#6 in Dec if anyone wants to join me in that final book for that series.

Nikki so glad to hear an update on the baby. I'm still praying for safe home coming.

Fallen and Tiffany- Whenever you both wanna start is fine by me. I know that Thanksgiving weekend is coming up soon and most of us are busy with family stuff so I don't know if we want to start this coming week or wait till after Thanksgiving, althought I hope to get a lot of reading done over that long weekend so maybe we could start this coming week.

Korts- Thanks for taking care of all of this stuff to keep the bookclub running smoothly.
