Re: Sarah dessen

I agree, Sarah Dessen is that author I turn to when I need to read something that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. lol. I think my favorite book is, "The Truth About Forever", however "Just listen" is a very very close second.

I love her!

Re: Sarah dessen

I love Sarah Dessen!!! I just finished Along for the Ride and it was amazing. Every time I read one of her books, it instantly becomes the Best Book Ever and I cannot put it down. Now I've read all her books, and cannot wait for more. I love how she threads together the characters in the stories, making it seem like every person has their own story to tell. Read any of them! They're all excellent!!!

I'm just curious.

I absolutely adore the books although I know some people don't..."

i've just noticed that almost everyone on here just talks about fantasy with a few exceptions. if anyone on here does talk about books that aren't fantasy it doesn't happen that often. im just saying that this is really more of a place to talk about fantasy books. but then again i've not been on here that long. but yeah i also really love sarah dessen books but i guess that was a random thing to say.

i just realized i said the same thing in about every sentance

Re: Sarah dessen

Some of my friends are big Sara Dessen fans, so I decided to read some of her books and I had to pretty much force myself to read them, they really bore me. Plus I'm not into the girly highschool girl books, so maybe I'm like the only one who thinks that, but when I was talking to one of my friends older sisters they thought the books were boring also. They  said lock-and-key is the only good one they've read.

Re: Sarah dessen

I must be weird or something I've read two of her books and they were ok. I don't know if it was because I was around 13 when I read them.

Reading can only make you more happy and smarter. :smileyhappy:

Re: Sarah dessen

I read The Truth about Forever and Just Listen years ago and I liked those books. I just read her two most recent ones - Lock and Key and Along for the Ride. Didn't like them so much. I don't know why, but I kept getting aggravated with the characters throughout the book.

I can't remember the other books that well, but it seems to me like she tries to come up with a metaphor for her books now. "Lock and Key" and "Along for the Ride." The titles are pretty self-explanatory. I don't think I'll be reading any more of her books. Plus, I never like the endings to her books much.

Re: Sarah dessen

I agree that Dreamland was the best of her books. I think it has a very good message and I thought that everything about the book was perfect. It brings out all your emotions. Hate, sadness, happiness. To me it was the best for so many reasons. I would recommend this book to anyone.

So after, when he whispers, "You love me. Real or not real?" I tell him, "Real."
