So you're going to go off writing about how much you hate the series and saying you'd maybe use it as toilet paper if you had to, just because a fan said there should be a law that you should read the books? Who really cares if she said that? It really shouldn't affect you that much.
It's a fiction book, she can do whatever she wants with it! I love what she did with Breaking Dawn, I wish I could say that it was my favorite but it's so hard for me to even put one on top of another.
I'm not even arguing over the books, you can like them or not like them. You're giving your reasons why you don't like them, and that's the sensible thing to do ... instead of saying how you won't even donate them because it's like toxic waste on public property ...
I'm so sick of people saying that Bella breaks so many rules! Are people really that strict or are they just SEEKING for ways that they can possibly diss Twilight? I'll go with the seeking option. There are books with murderers get away with what they've done. Once again, I'm really not trying to argue about the books.
You still could've sold them to Ebay! No one was forcing you to read the books and I can almost guarentee that people would buy the books from you.
I don't think kids should read Twilight until they're 13. I've said that before on here and I didn't change my mind. I don't think 9 year olds should read these books but there are 9 year olds watching pornography on the internet! (readers digest) You can't stop them. Most of the Twilight fanbase are teens.
Whether or not you give these books away, people will read them regardless. You not giving away the books will not stop anyone from reading them. But it will save them a lot of money from getting them at the library. You said you regret making such an investment, well you'd be saving people from doing that! You would be able to have people decide whether or not they like the books without having to spend the money that you did on them.
Sorry that I insulted you by calling you selfish, but I try not to hold anything back.

HI again people! Wildstar here. I got alot more m,essages, and I thought of a plan. I'll take it out form the library, start it, and if I like it, I'll buy the other books, and if I don't like it, I'll just return it to the library. How's that sound to you guys???
I'm glad you're giving it a shot

in my opinion you shouldnt waste your time, but hey if you like books with no plots go right on ahead.
on a seriouse note though people are very protective of these books so you never know what you like till you try it.
i didnt enjoy it though. and it really did get worse with each book

Ok... this debate isn't one that will ever end. Twlight vs. Anti-Twilight.
There won't be a "winner."
So basically what I'm saying is that we are not accomplishing anything here by arguing. Everyone is intitled to their own opion whatever that may be, so if someone doesn't like Twilight for whatever reason, that is not an invation for everyone who loves Twilight to gang up on them and say that their opionion is "wrong." Or visversa. It isn't right to tell someone that a book that they really love is stupid, and that by reading that book you are also stupid. It just isn't fair.
Even though I don't like Twilight, I would be incredibly P.O. if someone ever came up to me and insulted Harry Potter. I would flip out, go balistic and never speak to anyone ever again. As you can see, I am the eqvilence to a "Twilight Obsessed Fan Girl."
Everyone is free to share there thoughts, and people should not feel insulted by them. On the same note, people should not just tell others that the book is just plain stupid. No matter how much you dispise the writing or the author.
Sorry if that was confusing! I'm just tierd of watching people fight over a book. There will never be a day when all those who say "Twilight is dumb!" change there minds, or viseversa, so it is pretty usless fighting over it.

Ok... I read the first Twilight book (library) and I HATED it! Edward is just weird, and Bella is really whiney and stuff. I just don't think that it is my style. Thank you guys for your advice! It helped.

Haha. I didn't read the other messages before I posted my last message. If I had, I would've probably said the same thing as BLUEICEGAL. I mean, come on. It's just a book. If you like it then good. If you don't like it then okay.
There are people who like Twilight and there are people who don't like Twilight. It's always going to be like that. We can't change it. It's a free country and if people who like the series want to obsess over it then fine, let it be. It's their own obsession to obsess over. It's all right to be a hater and express your opinion. But by posting hate messages in spite of the people who actually like Twilight, your only making it worse. If you hate it and you don't like it when people obsess over it and you just want it to stop, then why are you replying to them in spite, telling everyone how bad it is and how she (Stephenie Meyer) has no writing skills and that the books are trash? Do you know what your doing? Your obsessing over it! And not to mention when you fight fire with fire you just make a bigger fire. And I'm not saying that you can't express your opinion. I'm just saying there's a line between expressing your opinion and being overdramatic and obsessing. Most of the haters are crossing that line.
I'm also not saying that the Twilight lovers are perfect and that they don't over-obsess about Twilight, because I know they do. In fact, sometimes I have my moments and over-exaggarate and gloat about how good the books are. But boohoo. Not everyone's perfect.
My point is that hating or loving Twilight isn't going to make this person read Twilight. No one is ever going to win the battle of Twilighters VS.. Anti-Twilighters. Get over it. Stop obsessing!
(I'm not ranting against OR for Twilight. I'm just expressing my opinion on how everyone may obsess a little too much.. Maybe to the point where it's creepy.)

Look a simple guide to objective opinions is to read old reviews, find the first reviews of twilight and make up your mind based on those.
In other words the reviews before all the rage happened with all the schoolgirls going nuts over Fangy and Fluffy.
