Teen Book Suggestions

[ Edited ]

Hey everyone!

Well, I’m doing a book challenge this year. I’m planning on reading 100 or more books by the end of the year, and I was wondering if I could get some suggestions on books to read.

So far I’ve read,
1. Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
2. Fallen by Lauren Kate
3. First Bite by Bookbyyou.com

I love books with mythical creatures, action and of course romance!

Some of my favorite books are: The Vampire Diaries, Hush Hush, Fallen, Twilight, Marked series, Doctor Who series, and I Was A Teenage Fairy.

So I’d like some books like those.

Any ideas?

Thanks! :]

Re: Teen Book Suggestions

Well, one of my favorite books is Look for me by Moonlight, by Mary Downing Hahn! Then, I also liked the Twilight series and Jessica's guide to dating on the Dark Side--I know the title sounds kinda bleh, but its an amazing book. Then, I thought that Fallen was okay, but the ending was kinda wierd. Meridian was an okay book..and I love Sarah Dessen books--I especially liked Just Listen and Dreamland....so many books that I dont have the time to list all of them..

Re: Teen Book Suggestions

Hey, I just want to apologize in advance if I write any series that are already mentioned xD.

But here it goes.

These are the ones that I have read and liked;

The Mortal Instruments Trilogy by Cassandra Clare (more books are being released)
The Heir Trilogy by Cinda Williams Chima
Faerie Wars by Herbie Brennan
Uglies Trilogy +1 by Scott Westerfeld
The Dark is Rising Sequence by Susan Cooper
His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman (3 books plus two short stories more to be released)
Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson

Now for books I didn't really like;

Eragon Saga by Christopher Paolini (3 books and 1 to be released)

Books that don't really have fantasy but are still cool;

Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn
I Love You, Beth Cooper by Larry Doyle
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

Re: Teen Book Suggestions

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Ice by Sarah Beth Durst

They are both phenomenal reads with mythical creatures and romance. I couldn't put either of them down!

And good luck with your challenge :smileyhappy:

Re: Teen Book Suggestions

The pact is a really really good book! it's not with mythical creatures but its good for a change up

You are my Twilight
In this New Moon
And I will cling to our eternal Eclipse
Until the day of our Breaking Dawn
*** I'm with the vampires, of course. ***

Re: Teen Book Suggestions

The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare is a really great series so is The Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz.  Also I loved the book Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Maria Stohl.  Another book to check out would be Meridian by Amber Kizer.

Hope those are helpful...
