Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Re: The Ultimate Book Recommendation List

Fantastic Idea!

It looks like this thread is a couple hundred posts deep, and I don't have the stamina to view it all, so my apologies if these are repeats but the MUST be mentioned at least once : )

(author)CASSANDRA CLARE!

The Mortal Instuments Series:  City of Bone, City of Ashes, City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls (not yet released), City Of Heavenly Fire (not yet released(

The Infernal Devices Series:  (Steampunk-ish prequel to Mortal Instruments) Clockwork Angel, Clockwork Prince (pre-order available), Clockwork Princess (not yet released)

THE LUXE!

by Anna Godbersen

Essential for fans of Libba Bray, and historical romance:  The Luxe, Rumors, Envy, Splendor

TIMERIDERS!

by Alex Scarrow

If "Inception" were a book about time travel:  Timeriders, Timeriders: Day Of The Predator

THE UGLIES!

by Scott Westerfield

Read Hunger Games or Mortal Instruments?  Try this!:  Uglies, Pretties, Specials, Extras

THE REPLACEMENT!

by Brenna Yavonaff

ONCE UPON A TIME SERIES!

by Various Authors

A collection of short and sweet re-tellings of fairytales.  The unique takes and fantastic writing style of some of the authors will just make your day!  Super fun!

(author)JESSICA DAY GEORGE!

More fairytales re-told:  Princess Of The Midnight Ball, Princess Of Glass

THE MONSTRUMOLOGIST!

by Rick Yancey

Amazing writing quality, characters, and story development: The Monstrumologist, Curse Of The Wendigo

THE LAST APPRENTICE!

by Joseph Delaney

About ten books deep now, I;ve only read the first two, but they're addictive!  So wonderful:

Revenge Of The Witch, Curse Of The Bane, Night Of The Soul Stealer, Attack Of The Fiend, Wrath Of The Bloodeye...just to start

HAPPY READING!  : )
