Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Re: Thirteen Reasons Why

I've heard it's a great book from people on here so eventually I'll probably give it a shot. Maybe once it comes out in paperback.

Re: Thirteen Reasons Why

So my little sister, who is 19, picked this book up and was like "I'll get this one"  and I was like what is it?  she was in the teen section so its a section that I don't read too much from.  Me being 23.  but WOW!  that book, I can't believe the emotion it brought out of me!  I read it about three hours.  it was such a page turner.  I feel like I know who Hannah is and what she was going through.  and at the same time I kept thinking Clay is going to find her and release her from her inner demons.  I have NEVER cried so hard for a book before.  I recommend this book to anyone and everyone who can read!

Just the way it was written in an audiotour and a first person perspective was intreresting enough too.  i haven't ever read a book like this.

does anyone else feel cheated and angry after reading this?  I think I feel this was cause I think suicide is a very selfish thing to do.  let me know what ya think...

Re: Thirteen Reasons Why

The plot is great! But I'm a little hesitant on reading it because of the charcter's names. Stupid, right? My name is Hannah. I know someone named Clay. Lots of people said we "liked" each other because we fought all the time. Once again, I say; Stupid, right?

Re: Thirteen Reasons Why

WOW that is weird!  being named after a character who committed suicide...  I think that you should read it and just take the names for face value.  don't let this book slip by just cause of that.  it was really good.  like i said before it took out emotions i forgot i could experience.  and i think it was good to see the bad cause it makes you or lets you look at all the good in life.  no matter how small or insignigicant it might seem.  please let me know what you think after reading it.

Re: Thirteen Reasons Why

I wasn't named after the girl who commited suicide. (I'd be a toddler then!) I was named after I think the mother of Samuel in the Bible. But yeah. It is pretty weird reading a book when the main characters name is yours. (I have actually done that) But it is definitly weirder to read a book where one of the main characters name is yours but the other is smeone you know's name. If that made sense.
