Re: book choices....any suggestions????

I'll admit that I haven't read any of those yet either (although some are on my to do list). I Think Shiver sounds really good and I plan on getting it once I have finshed some of my other books.

The Luxe series is very good you dont need to like historical fiction to like this.

Re: book choices...Any suggestions????

I have read shiver, hush hush, and graceling but I have not read fire. I just finished reading hush hush and it is awesome even though I don't think it will have an sequel (i think that is how you spell it), graceling is another awesome book and i cant wait to read Fire, shiver for me was just an okay book but you might like it a lot, i have not read the luxe series or nightworld but they are both on my list. if i were you i would read either hush hush or gracling first because they are really good books.

             hope that helps

Re: book choices....any suggestions????

I started the Luxe series a few months ago (and finished Splendor a week ago) and immediately fell in love because Godbersen really provides a sense of history, yet with a modern view. Elizabeth, Diana and Penelope live in 1899 but have to face the same issues in love and loss that we face today, just with a more distinct sense of modesty and propriety.

If you love fantasy, then Graceling and its companion Fire are the way to go. Cashore creates an imaginitive, new world with gracelings (people with special abilities that are marked by their different color eyes) and monsters (people that have monster blood that are irresistible to humans). Each book has adventure, a deep romance and a thread of mystery. Both of these novels were unputdownable to me!

Hush, Hush is one of the next novels on my list and I'm excited because I've heard it is great as well.

Hope this helps you decide!!

I just finished The Luxe and I'm half way through Rumor. It was really good and I don't usually like historical fiction. You should try it. Hope it helps you decide!!

Shiver was ok, but it wasn't great. I just finished hush, hush and I'd recommend it. Oh, and another book that I really liked was Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey.

Hush, Hush is amazing! I have just started it and two of my friends have read it. They both say it is one of their new favorite books.

Shiver was good as well. I read that one, and it was good. I got all the way threw it without thinking, "gosh, when is this book going to be over?!?" It was good, but not amazing. =] I recommend it though.

I also highly recommend the Blue is for Nightmare series. It is truly great. It is a series about a girl and she can see the future in her dreams. It has the perfect mix of romance and suspense. I loved it!

Re: book choices....any suggestions????

I read the first Luxe...and it was very good.  And usually American Regency-era novels are something I don't get off on very much (I like Gemma Doyle too).
