I really enjoyed:
Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampire series
Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instrument series
Cate Tiernan's Sweep Series
Ameilia Atwater-Rhodes I prefer her stand alone novels but the first two of her series are good.
Hope this helps

Great Gatsby, All the King's Men, Sun Also Rises, Tender is the Night, Forgotten Fire, The Jungle (36 chapter uncensored version, it will tell you), 1984 (the first part's a drag, the second is better), Catcher in the Rye, Pretty Little Liars series, Huck Finn, Black Boy (will warn you, it's Jim Crow South and a black boy together), Razzle, Cry the beloved country (a South African To Kill A Mockingbird)...
