Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Do you mean like bossed me into reading it or recommended it? Because I've read books that people recommend strongly.

Lol.  Ya I totally have.  I usually boss people into reading books so I have to read them when they do it to me.  Lol.

"La Push baby it's La Push. Are you going?" asked Eric
"I'll go if you stop saying that." replied Bella.

Sounds like my dad trying to get me to read historical books.  I love historical fiction, but historical historical?  Eh... not so much.  He denied me from reading anyting until I read  Undaunted Courage.  Lol.

Re: have you ever read a book just because someone told you to?

I wish my dad would read. My dad was the bad kid at school with a leather jacket and motorcycle. My mom was the girl from a Catholic school that went out with the bad boy. It seems like everyone that reads has parents that read too. Not me! Lol, I wish I had the chance to share books with my parents.

Dude..... that's like something out of a novel.  Wow.  My mom reads alot of the stuff I do, though some of the futuristic stuff I read she doesn't tend to like.  lol.

I think it's so cool that some people have that in common with their parents. I have nothing in common with mine so to have my mom reading some of the same books would be really cool.
