i forget the name of the series but that's the first book.

but yeah the blue bloods series is good.

the 3rd one just came out.

i just got it today but i won't be reading it for a while.

All of these are by the fabulous Miss Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. They all tie into each other but are not a series (and they all feature a super hot vampire guy and zero explisivity! Just my style.)

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova, lengthy, but worth it!

Hmm, I thought I'd read more vampire books than that, but I guess not. I'll have to fix that.

vampire academy and frostbite by richelle mead (someone else mentioned it above also, so read it!)

blood and chocolate by annette curtis klause (okay, this isn't a vampire book, but it is SO worth reading)

i just looked up info for the vampire academy and i realized that i already read the first book, i wonder how i forgot about that.

but thats good, now i can read the second one! although it would probably be best to reread the first one.

blood and chocolate was also a movie right?

Yes, they did make Blood and Chocolate into a movie. But the really only things in common between the two is that they are werewolves and the character names are the same.
