has anyone gotten tired of them yet?
don't get me wrong, i love alot of books with content and storylines including vamps but isn't getting a bit annoying?
i mean edward.
why would someone like a stalker and a pedobear.
i dunno.
but i guess thats only my opinion.
if you do like vamps, explain why?
i would just love to here about it. ![]()

I'm a bit tired of the vampire craze. It is hard to find books that are popular but do not involve them.
I'm not a big fan of Edward either. Quite frankly, he is mentally abusive towards Bella.
Abuse=not cool.

LMAO me too! Well not as much, I'm more into Damon form the Vampire Diaries now. From the BOOK, although the show is good too. But I like the boook better.
Yea, vampires COULD get old, it just depends on how you use them. I like tradtional vampires better the, NON-STALKER *Cough cough* Edward *Cough cough*. And the ones that DON'T SPARKLE. Likek, WTF, straight men don't sparkle lol. Well Jasper's the exeption.

Vampires are a reflection of our darker selves. The idea of the gentleman vampire started with John Polidori who based his character in The Vampyre on his pal, Lord Byron. Maybe it's not the vampires themselves but that the genre that needs a little fresh blood injected into it. The vampire genre has been popular for years and isn't going anywhere but for a different POV try this one, Cara Mia, Book One of the Immortyl Revolution. I found it unique. The story has a sci fi angle and the relationships are more mature (not porno though). The heroine and hero take a real journey.

As much as I love vampires, I do have to agree that they do get old. That's one of the reasons that my personal library has books that deviate from that, like Ghost Moon by Rebecca York, it's a great book and involves werewolves. I also have a wide scope of "highlander" novels, books that take place in the Celtic regions, where there is no mention of vampires and werewolves, although there is always something mystical about it. I don't really like romance novels that are too real. As for Twilight, it's hard for me to choose between Edward and Jacob so I'm going to go with Jasper ^_^.

im sick of vampires too, i mean having a whole section of nothing but twilight in every store is just ridclious!! yea it was an ok series but now its just run down and overrated. and why edward? i mean a stalker boyfriend who treats you like a glass doll and doesnt let you do anything for yourself. i mean seriously, what person in their right mind would want that? jacob is sweet and at least alive! and who does let you do things yourself and treats you like a person instead of some doll. so yea vampires and twilight are overrated. i think the authors out there need to lay off the vampires, theres only so much you can do, and honestly i think most of it has been done. what ever happened to Ann Rices vampires? less vampires, MORE of anything else PLEASE!!

I like the idea of vampires, but I am tired of them. In fact, I'm kind of just tired of the whole paranormal romance genre. >.< Nobody seems to be able to write anything that doesn't sound like Twilight! And I liked Twilight and all (I'll admit it), but...come on people...I want to see something at least somewhat original!

I am obviously a BIG twi-fan and don't get me wrong I love vampires, but I do think it is overdone now. I like some vampire books but know they are getting overrated and the same as all the previous ones. I do like vampires though because of the forbidden romance that arrises. I was just at B&N and half the books there are paranormal.
