A Thought About Spoilers

It's hard to say how many of us here will be reading Pride and Prejudice for the first time. Perhaps many, perhaps few. But I'd hate to preside over the spoiling of the ending for those just getting introduced.

So, if you're posting in the "Early Chapters" discussion topics, please be aware that those topics are meant to be useful to those readers just getting started on Pride and Prejudice.

We'll post some "whole book" topics after we've gotten underway.

If you're starting a new thread on a topic, please try to keep "spoilers" out of your subject line (for example, "I Can't Believe Miss [X] Would Marry Mr. [Y]" might not be the best choice).

And, conversely, I'd encourage those of you who are reading P&P for the very first time to be cautious about where you enter the discussion -- or to finish reading as soon as you can. Because it does get hard not to talk about the conclusion!

What does "early chapters" cover?

The best way for us to avoid spoilers is probably to designate certain folders for discussion only through a specific chapter and then other folders for talking about the whole book.
