As by this point many of us have finished reading the first section of Pride and Prejudice, this thread is a place for general discussion, questions, and impressions about the Second volume.
This volume begins on page 246 of The Annotated Pride and Prejudice and concludes on pages 444-445. It covers the storyline from just after Mr. Collins's acceptance by Charlotte Lucas, to Elizabeth's Northern journey with the Gardiners into Derbyshire -- it concludes on the eve of their visit to Darcy's estate at Pemberley.
If you have not read this far yet, this discussion will likely contain plot spoilers.
If you would like to discuss parts of the story that come later, please consider posting your thoughts in the thread for Volume Three.
