Re: Pride & Prejudice on Film

I have to agree with -dagger-, i was inspired to read the book after seeing the 2005 movie, and it is my favorite movie. Although i have changed my favorite book which used to be p&p but now is stephenie meyer's Eclipse. I am in love with the 2005 p&p movie, but are the other p&p movies as good,or better?

sierra,
i wonder...

Re: Pride & Prejudice on Film

I've only seen the 2005 version, and I loved it, personally. It's not as good as the book, of course, because movies never are as good as the books upon which they are based, but Pride and Prejudice is definitely one of my favorite movies.
Off topic a bit, but according to IMDB, TV movie versions of Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park, and Persuasion are coming out sometime next month. I keep checking back for the actual date, but it just says "November 2007". They premiered in the UK on April 1. Did anyone over there see them? If so, were they good? I'm especially excited for Persuasion, because it's one of my favorite Austen novels. :smileyhappy:
