Sorry everyone, I was out of town last week and am still finishing this book! I'm nearly done, and I'll have discussion topics posted later today. Don't let that stop you from talking about it, though. Back to the book -- more later.

Isn't this a great read! I love the dog fights they have! I love the way Gabby kept saying over and over again, I have a boyfriend, I am in love with him, its as if she is protesting to herself but I can read between the lines. She really likes Travis I believe.
It was fun reading about their boat trip date! Oh! its wasnt a date, now was it!

So I just finished it this evening, and I have to say, I'm a little disappointed.........
It was a good book, but I'm used to his books being more than "good". Obviously, as someone posted in another thread, the reader is led astray by the "choice", since I thought, probably like others, that the choice was about who Gabby would choose, when the real choice is a much more serious issue (don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read it!). I am used to his books being more heart-wrenching from either the beginning or at least the middle, but with this one, I didn't feel the "tug" until towards the end, near decision-making time. My greatest complaint is that I don't feel like the characters ever had an amazing connection, like others in his previous novels. I never felt all the love and warm fuzzies between these 2 like I did in other books, when just the thought of 2 people being together was enough to bring tears to my eyes! I don't know, anyone else feel the same way?
