To speculate on human origin may always have a sense of fable about it. What are some conclusions that might be drawn from assuming that human beings descended from women or from men?
Do you see one gender type as more all-encompassing?
Do you read "The Cleft" as a story of origins that offers an alternative to the Adam and Eve story, where Eve was drawn from Adam's rib?
