2940043856470.pngWorking for Barnes & Noble, I suppose it's not a big surprise that I am whacko for word games. As both a complement to reading and an enjoyable diversion in their own right, word games are just one more way I stay immersed in both mobile apps and the world of reading. Text Twist 2 by GameHouse is the quintessential word game – simple to learn, easy to jump into and almost impossible to master.

Given a set of letters, you have to find all the possible word combinations.  This is not as easy as it sounds, and that is where the meat of the game comes from.  I will only find all of the words about 80% of the time, and when I miss some I feel silly afterward.  For example, I just played a game and it took me almost until the end to fill in the last 4-letter word.  Which is only funny because that word was “cups” – and one of my 3-letter words was “cup”.  Text Twist 2 demands an attention to detail and meticulousness that helps me focus in every aspect of my day-to-day life.

GameHouse has several apps available for the NOOK Color™, and I would urge everyone who enjoys games to give them a look.  From the subtle intensity of the ticking clock in Text Twist 2 to the silly fun of Doodle Jump Deluxe and even the offbeat fun of Sally’s Salon Luxury Edition, they all hit the spot for a quick and involved gaming experience.

Can't you make them for the Nook too?

It would be great if there were more game apps for the Nook.

Does it crash as consistently as Angry Birds?

Hi Old Lace Maker,

Have you had a chance to update your Angry Birds app? That should take care of any problems you're encountering.

I love my Nook, but when you came out with the Nook Color, you forgot all of your loyal customers that have a regular Nook.  :smileysad:

Sometimes I feel left out too since I have the Nook original but one of the reasons I bought it is because it is only an e-reader so when I am using it I can focus on reading and not be tempted to play games. The Nook color was available when I bought my Nook.

I think the Nook is for reading books mainly.  To have more opptions a Nook Color would be needed.

I received a Nook Color from my kids for my birthday, and LOVE IT!  I have an iPhone, and have an app on it called Wonderful Days, used for diary, journaling, or note-taking.  Is there an app like that or the nook?  If so, I can't seem to find it ...
