I bought my Nook just before Nook Color came out. So, I can only read about what you offer only those who bought theirs after it became available. Sure wish I had known that I only had to wait a short time to get it. Can't some of these new things be made available to us?

I did the same thing and was extremely mad at B&N for a while and then I bit the bullet, sold my nook on ebay and bought a NookColor. I love my NookColor and have not regretted buying it for one moment. The only thing I don't like about it is how the prices on the books have increased lately.

There is no need to limit oneself to only one Nook!!!
I bought my first Nook in August 2010 after falling in love with a borrowed Nook during a 12-hour road trip. I read nearly the entire time and my eyes did NOT get tired. A week later, I bought my own 3G Nook, as I was not willing to wait for the color touchscreen version.
In January 2011, I bought a 2nd Nook - the color one. I love both, and I use them at different times and in different environments. The original 3G Nook is the best one for reading in daylight - whether in the car or outdoors in the sun. The battery life is great. My color Nook is for reading in the dark (like at night in bed, or on a car trip) because no nightlight is needed, and for using the Tablet-type apps. It is also best for any book that includes illustrations. As an amateur artist, I also love being able to load photos of my artwork on it and use it as a marketing aid when showing my work to prospective buyers. Its battery life is shorter than the original Nook, but I just plan ahead and keep the battery charged. I absolutely LOVE both of my "little Nookies".

Hasotte said it best. I have both and will hang onto both for reasons listed. Does the Epicurious app allow me to enter ingredients I already have and tell me which recipes I can create using them?

I too have both. I received my Nookcolor for Christmas and loved it but couldn't read very well by the pool so I went online at Barnes & Noble and purchased a refurbished nook so much cheaper than those in the store with the same warranty. I LOVE my Nooks!

Hi Ostracus,
The app lets you search by main ingredients through the search toolbar at the bottom. You are limited to the foods in the scrolling list, but it has the basic staples used for many recipes.
Best,
Jeremy

Hi Hair-and-Pin,
Some of the recipes--like the Sweet Potato Salad with Chili Lime Dressing--do link out to streaming videos. It's a lot of fun!
Best,
Jeremy
