"Boomerang Bride is one of the best romance novels this reviewer has read in a long time. Top Pick."
-RT Book Reviews

When Matlida leaves her Australian home to wed Barry—the man who swept her off her feet online—she doesn’t expect to be jilted by an internet con man. Now that Barry’s out of the picture, she’s stuck in a small Wisconsin town without a friend in sight.

Along stumbles Marc, who’s begrudgingly in town for his annual family visit. He sees a bride in desperate need of a groom, but he’s not quite sure he’s the man for the job. Matilda isn’t convinced of Marc’s suitability either. But strange things happen when two strangers are stuck together in a small town with lots of time to kill.

Fiona Lowe’s next irresistible contemporary romance, Saved by the Bride, is available for pre-order now!

Free Fridays Recommends

Each week, we ask our featured author to recommend a book or author that you may want to check out. Since authors are such passionate readers themselves, we thought you might like to find out what they love to read, too! Here’s what Fiona recommends:

My love affair with romance fiction had begun and Jane Austen, with her clever wit and insight into the human condition remains a firm favorite and a comfort read when required.

Please, please, please don't rate a book based on whether you liked/disliked it as a Free Friday selection.  I use ratings and comments to decide if I'm going to download a book. I've been looking for a romance book to read for myFebruary book group meeting (we are all reading and reporting on a different romance novel) and thought I might give this a try if the reviews were mostly positive.  In this case it's impossible to tell because there are no actual reviews of the book.  If I was a publisher I'd hesitate to allow a book to be associated with Free Book Friday if I risked it getting negative reviews based on some factor other than the actual content of the book.

Thank you to everyone who posts free books here. It's very thoughtful and very much appreciated. We are supposed to get rain tomorrow and I can't think of a better way to spend a rainy day than with a good book.

Yet another interesting Free Friday book!  I love Free Fridays!  Thanks to everyone who added their extras too.  On average, I download about 8 free books on Friday, which is amazing!

I just reported just about every off topic comment on there.  Come on people.  If you need to complain, this is the place, NOT the actual book review!

Jeremy,

Thank you for the books. I feel very fortunate to obtain any books for free, let alone these great books you pick for us.

If I could impose, I was wondering if there were free books of the classics of Greek/Roman mythology? I have seen many different types of books including the classics (Jane Austin, the Bronte sisters, etc) but I haven't seen any classics of the mythology genre...

Either way, I appreciate all that you do for us readers...

Regards,

Pagaan

Request to readers: If you are unhappy with the Free Friday selection(s), NOOK, or Barnes and Noble in general, please do not use book reviews to express your feelings and concerns. Book reviews should be used for just that, to (hopefully honestly) review a book you have read in order to advise other potential readers. I understand people may want to express their opinions of Free Friday selections, but the author has no control over this. Authors rely on reviews and review ratings to help sell their books. There are other more appropriate and more effective forums where you can express you opinions about Free Friday selections, etc.

Thank you BN for the free book today.  Also, thank you Spec, Butterfly and eReaderPerks for the work you put into researching free books too.  I have so much to read because of you!  :smileyhappy:

Even though i prefer a good murder mystery to a romance any day, i would never give a bad rating just because i don't like the genre.  BN has a really great app for finding free nook books and i have a select of mysteries and thrillers that i will probably never finish.  So, haters, go the link, check the selection weekly, download all the freebies you can handle, shut up.

If you are in the path of the superstorm, check out the flashlight app. I think it cost about $1.00 and I think it works pretty well, about as bright as a nook screen if it were blank. I was able to find my black cat at night using it.
