"Boomerang Bride is one of the best romance novels this reviewer has read in a long time. Top Pick."
-RT Book Reviews

When Matlida leaves her Australian home to wed Barry—the man who swept her off her feet online—she doesn’t expect to be jilted by an internet con man. Now that Barry’s out of the picture, she’s stuck in a small Wisconsin town without a friend in sight.

Along stumbles Marc, who’s begrudgingly in town for his annual family visit. He sees a bride in desperate need of a groom, but he’s not quite sure he’s the man for the job. Matilda isn’t convinced of Marc’s suitability either. But strange things happen when two strangers are stuck together in a small town with lots of time to kill.

Fiona Lowe’s next irresistible contemporary romance, Saved by the Bride, is available for pre-order now!

Free Fridays Recommends

Each week, we ask our featured author to recommend a book or author that you may want to check out. Since authors are such passionate readers themselves, we thought you might like to find out what they love to read, too! Here’s what Fiona recommends:

My love affair with romance fiction had begun and Jane Austen, with her clever wit and insight into the human condition remains a firm favorite and a comfort read when required.

I look at it this way....I am adding to my virtual library.  I might not be interested or want to read a particular book today, but who knows, next month, next year, etc, my interests might change.  The book is free now, why not take advantage of what is there.  I appreciate whatever is offered.  Thank you to B&N and all who take their time to post the free books that they find and thank you to the authors who have the talent and the generosity to put their works out there.  Have a great weekend everyone.

Thank you again to Nook and all of our regular and new free posters.  I look forward to Fridays every week and always download a few books more than I can manage to read so acquiring a great backlog!!  I appreciate the different genres as I have read and enjoyed several books I would not have chosen on my own.  Hope all of you stay safe this weekend. I'm on the East Coast so currently getting lots of rain and wind - our friends to the North are having a blizzard and those out West dealing with a psychotic ex policemen.  Thankful to relax with a glass of wine and enjoy a good book.  Wishing you all well and once again THANKS! I also enjoy seeing posts from regulars and hearing where you are and what is going on so please keep it up.  I only post every few weeks myself but am beginning to recognize more names each time.

I come here every week to check the Free Friday selection; however, I rarely download it or other free offerings.  I don't complain because folks have spent many hours looking for these free books.  That said, what I have noticed over the years of owning my Nook (I have one of the originals) is that Amazon tends to offer many more free books every week than B&N.  (I also own an iPad with Kindle app).  Their free offerings are also more varied; I often find first-in-series of well-known authors.  I tend to search for free ebooks on Bookbub.com 'deals' pages.  Most 'deals' are offered through Amazon and are not available through B&N.  I will be sad to abandon my first e-reader, but I'm seriously considering switching entirely to Amazon for this reason alone.

oh, I just read through all of the posts so would like to add my 2cents.  I don't care to read your complaints in the book review or the blog.  This is a site that you come to voluntarily and people are providing free information that they have found and taken their time to offer to you - as my momma always said be grateful for what you have and if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

If the book legitimately sucks then people should be able to say so. However the irrelevant whining in reviews is annoying. Personally, I use Goodreads for reviews because people don't sit there and complain that it was a free book.

Just wanted to say thanks to all for finding the free reads, sure helps me pass the time when I can't sleep.

Two things

My NOOK's tummy is really full this Friday and is a very happy camper ... Thanks to BN for have Free Friday's and the Daily find (I've gotten many a much loved book for $1.99). Any many, many thanks to those who have taken out the time to find those little free gems.

Look if you are so enamored of Amazon then perhaps you should purchase all of your books on Amazon and not whine about "FREE" books on BN. As a point in fact BN does not count as part of their library books that are public domain and their library is still larger then Amazons. This is still a business, which needs to make a profit. I get what I can for free and I am happy to pay for the books I want. I love having an online library of my own that can contain as many books as I want that I don't pay for that library and I bet you can say that about

Thank you to B&N, Jeremy & all who post free Friday selections! You are so GREATLY appreciated! My daughter has one of the original Nooks. When my husband bought mine a year ago Christmas, I really didn't want it as I prefer a physical book in my grubby paws! One of the 1st things my daughter showed me was how to find over 1 million free books from B&N! My husband was diagnosed with cancer last spring & my Nook has saved my sanity as I've managed to download over 1500 books & have found new authors I never would have read! So, if you don't like the selection, DON'T download it! If Amazon is so much better, go for it! Just don't complain about something that is free! It makes you sound like all the others who think they are entitled to everything for doing nothing (of which I, personally, am getting tired of hearing from!!) AGAIN, a great BIG THANK YOU to Barnes & Noble, Jeremy & all the others who take time to let us know about different genres & different authors! Have a great weekend. Stay safe.

I absolutely LOVE Free Fridays....Thank you so much for giving them to us. I have really gotten some great reads out of them...!

by mikesmartha on ‎02-09-2013 12:20 AM

Thanks for all the great reads! Seldom have I not found something that intrigues me. Has been a few times that I have thought  "Ooh that sounds like a great read only to have BN tell me, You already own this item." So glad it does that instead of letting me buy some of these over and over. (like I did when I was buying RT books :smileyhappy: ) Have a great, hopefully safe weekend everyone!

Thank you again for the book posts! Unlike some of the UNGRATEFUL people taking advantage of these posts I recognize that they are free and therefore OPTIONAL. No one is forcing them to take a book so please stop penalizing the authors for something that is not their fault!
