We're going out on a high note with our final selection of 2012: Phillip Margolin’s Executive Privilege. Suppose a serial killer on death row cops to all his murders, except one. He says he was framed for a high-profile murder in a governor’s home, and he wants the real killer brought to justice.

Fast forward, and that governor is now the POTUS, and two people—a private detective and a young lawyer—have reason to believe that the serial killer was telling the truth. When death befalls another of the President’s associates, it’s clear that the unthinkable may be true. Is there a murderer in the Oval Office?

After you've finished Executive Privilege, continue the pulse-pounding DC adventures with Margolin’s latest: Capital Murder.

Free Fridays Recommends

Each week, we ask our featured author to recommend a book or author that you may want to check out. Since authors are such passionate readers themselves, we thought you might like to find out what they love to read, too! Here’s what Phillip recommends:

Free Friday books are like lagniappe.  I would frequent barnesandnoble.com anyway but the Free Friday books make it so much nicer.

Favorite Free Friday Book:  Cold Granite because it introduced me to author Stuart MacBride. My December has been full of reading his other books and I am enjoying them all.  Love the eccentric characters like Roberta Steel and Rennie and Insch, in addition to Logan McRae.

Honorable Mention Free Friday Book:  Gap Creek.  A nice read.

I dont need another "list", folks. I can get that myself by just typing "0.0" into the search box at bn.com (now that's a tip for you!)!

And this is why I especially appreciate the special effort put in by spec to categorize things easily for my benefit. I can drill down immediately to the specific section that I'm interested in... see the titles clearly... and then get to what I want quickly! It's the special effort made by spec in creating these lists that just make the visit here great.

Sorry with the holidays I just could not find the time to make a list.  Last week I was a bit pressed to find stuff and this morning so far I have found nothing that has not already been posted over the past few weeks/months. Hopefully after the New Year we will have a better selection for you, Happy New Year may you be safe and find nothing but happiness, love, and lots of new good books the whole year through.

Thanks to everyone who took their time finding all the "Free" books for this past year.  I know everyone who had input on "Free Fridays" have other obligations but you still took your time to find books for all of us who have Nooks! I have no single complaint and no one else should either, but should only be very grateful to you!

I hope you all have a Happy New Year and that we all start 2013 on the positive side, with no complaints but only gratitude for all the hard working people who make "Free Fridays" possible for us!

Thank you all very much and please know that you are very much appreciated!

I completely agree with my fellow posters who have stated that all of us should be grateful for this wonderful "gift" that we receive each week!  Jeremy and all of the other posters of free books take time to find and share with all of us.  For that, sometimes a simple "THANKS!" is what we should shout out.  If there is something that we don't particularly like, we can always choose to ignore and think about what might appear on the blog in the next week.  :smileyhappy:
