We're going out on a high note with our final selection of 2012: Phillip Margolin’s Executive Privilege. Suppose a serial killer on death row cops to all his murders, except one. He says he was framed for a high-profile murder in a governor’s home, and he wants the real killer brought to justice.

Fast forward, and that governor is now the POTUS, and two people—a private detective and a young lawyer—have reason to believe that the serial killer was telling the truth. When death befalls another of the President’s associates, it’s clear that the unthinkable may be true. Is there a murderer in the Oval Office?

After you've finished Executive Privilege, continue the pulse-pounding DC adventures with Margolin’s latest: Capital Murder.

Free Fridays Recommends

Each week, we ask our featured author to recommend a book or author that you may want to check out. Since authors are such passionate readers themselves, we thought you might like to find out what they love to read, too! Here’s what Phillip recommends:

As always, thank you one and all for my "very" treasured Friday Freebies! I wake up and yell to hubby "Yeah, it's Friday Freebie day"!  I have had my Nook for approx. 2 years and have over 1,000 books. Needless to say but I will anyhow, I tell my loved ones that when it tis time for me to leave this world, they better throw this Nook in the casket with me because I still have lots to read. -:smileyhappy:  Have a great day and a Happy New Year everyone!  :-)

I just want to add my thanks and gratitude to all the effort made by Jeremy, Spec, butterfly13 and others who post on the Free Fridays blog.

I had to retire several years ago due to some serious health problems and the weekends had lost thier appeal in that every day was the same without a job or routine to follow.. and along came FREE FRIDAYS!  :smileyhappy:,

It helps me mark my weeks end and makes me happy for the end of the week.  I may not be able to get out and do the things others do, but I can always enjoy checking out what is available on Free Fridays... which inevitably leads to finding a new author that I enjoy!

I can't really say what my Favorite Free Friday book was this year (I didn't know I needed to keep up with it, I'll do better in 2013) but here's a few from different genres that I would have missed out on had there been no Free Fridays :

(C & C) Christian and Clean Catgory:

The Green Series by Judy Christie (starting with Gone to Green..)  Charlotte Figg takes over Paradise by Joyce Magnin

(Paranormal)Black Silk by Jan Gordon

(Thriller)Cold Granite by Stuart MacBride.

Again thanks B&N, Jeremy and others for not only making Fridays special for me again but also for the introduction to the new authors !

May all of you (posters and readers alike) enjoy a blessed, prosperous and healthy new year!

I LOVE this blog and the Free Friday offereings - just one more reason to be looking forward to Fridays!

Being a baseball fan, my favorite Free Friday offering of 2012 was The Entitled by Frank Deford.  #1, it's about baseball.  #2, Frank Deford is a legendary sportswriter and this book shows why, and #3, it's a great story.

Love Free Fridays! Always something new to try. My favorite Free Friday book was an Agatha Christie - I can reread her stories and still be surprised each time.

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to find and post new titles.
