Not one to play backup, Shaylee jumps right into the fray and begins an investigation of her own, which may very well lead to her long gone, absentee father.

Written by a mother-daughter team, Always Watching -- the first entry in the Rayne Tour series -- is the perfect book for you and your middle-grade or high-schooler. Plus, it's FREE for limited time.

NOOK owners: go to shop, and search "Always Watching" to download the book.

I'm so glad that the Free Fridays last all week now! Yesterday was crazy and I forgot to check, so I'm glad I didn't miss out!

BN needs to watch Its competition a little closer.   That other ebook reader (you know the “K!ndl3”) offers most of the same free classics as our nook and the same Friday free books.  In addition this week they are giving away:

Calling Home
Author: Janna McMahan
Publisher: Kensington Books
Subject: Fiction - Fantasy

Once Around The Track
Author: Sharyn McCrumb
Publisher: Kensington Books
Subject: Romance - Fiction

Revenge of Innocents
Author: Revenge of Innocents
Publisher: Kensington Books
Subject: Suspense - Thriller

nook may be the better product, but BN is still playing catch-up in many ways.  My local BN had wifi down for the past 8 days, no in-store for me :-(

@GhostWhoWalks,

Thanks for the heads-up about what the "other" store is doing.  If I ever bothered to research it for myself, I'd probably find out, but now that  I have my Nook (and I DID do a lot of research before I bought it), I nearly never go there.  I love my Nook for many reasons, Free Fridays being only one of them.

I was disappointed to find out that having Android tech on the Nook only means people can get Nook for their phones, not that we can buy e-books from other booksellers; I tend to be an equal opportunity buyer, and don't like being locked in to any one bookseller.  But that's what happens with the e-readers and, as I said, I bought it after lots of reasearch.

Free Fridays helps me get books and authors I might not otherwise try; I'm finding my reading "likes" going in surprising directions.  Thanks Paul for Free Fridays.

What a special treat to get 2 free books this week.  I love it!  The free Friday gives me an option to explore authors that I may not have before.  I think it is wonderful and I thank you.

@WriterMomDT

You also find that your nook can read tomes from eReader.com.  Their in a well established ebook format that Palm created years ago. (See this Wikipedia entry)
