All of Vee Bell’s friends and family think she has narcolepsy, but what they don’t know is that when they think she’s asleep, she’s actually  sliding into someone else’s identity. Like any teenager, she doesn’t want her odd secret to get out, lest she become a social outcast.

But when Vee slides into the mind of her sister’s friend Sophie right as she’s being murdered, Vee’s formerly harmless gift becomes a burden. The town thinks that Sophie’s death was a suicide, but Vee can’t reveal the truth without also exposing her strange paranormal powers. And who would believe her anyway? Instead, she sets out to find a more terrestrial way to solve the crime before the murderer strikes again.

The story of Vee Bell continues in the riveting sequel to Slide: Imposter.

Each week, we ask our featured author to recommend a book or author that you may want to check out. Since authors are such passionate readers themselves, we thought you might like to find out what they love to read, too! Here’s what Jill recommends:

Hysteria by Megan Miranda is an edge-of-your-seat psychological thriller with touching, heartfelt moments and a delicious love interest. What a page-turner!

Once again, a great choice for Free Friday's.  Fridays are the best days of my week.  Love the choices and thanks so much to everyone who finds these great freebies.

tinalou57, If you are on Facebook go to the Nook page and like the page, it will show up on your homepage every Friday.  That is how I remember, as I am on Faccebook several times a day.

THANKS everyone for all the links  It's a hot one here today and supposed to start raining soon, should have LOTS of quality time this weekend!

This week had some amazing freebies. I am a HUGE Peanuts fan, so the snoopy books were such a great surprise. Thank you all for your hard work each day to put this all together.:smileyhappy:

I use Pulse and subscribe to the Nook blog. I also set myself a reminder but sometimes get busy. So upset I missed last week's Free Friday. Grabbed Slide and the Peanuts comics. Thanks everyone for your contributions!

by choirgal04 on ‎07-19-2013 02:12 PM

Yep -- we're doin the happy dance  with some free Snoopy today, too!  :smileyvery-happy:

btw, there actually are TONS of free comics & graphic novels (including some "classic" stories like Call of the Wild & Anne of Avonlea) available.  Instead of the link, I accessed the Peanuts one directly from my NOOK via the "Shop" function and searched "NOOK comics"; then organized the display according to "Price from low to high," and there you go...

@tinalou...I would set an alarm on your nook or your phone or PC for Fridays. That way when it goes off...you'll remember to download your free book! I've had a nook for so long that it's just something I do on Fridays now! :smileyhappy:

if you are on facebook like the nook page and there will be a posting about them.

Thanks for another interesting Free Friday. Appreciate all of you. Have decided they will have to bury my Nook with me..... with all the ones I find because of you plus my normal interest, I will never be caught up!! Have a great weekend all. :smileyhappy:

I'm pretty sure this hasn't shown up anywhere. It's a free short story anthology of science fiction romance. Yes, science fiction romance. It's a real genre! The anthology includes a story by Linnea Sinclair set in her Games of Command world.

It's permanently free, so don't worry about missing it.

I agree with others, liking the Nook page on Facebook, as well as setting a reminder on your phone are great options!  That's how I remember.
