Those who enjoyed the complexity and deeply-felt storytelling in The Journey Home will find the same elements in Spinning. This time, Baron introduces Dylan Hunter—a man in the prime of his life who has everything he’s ever wanted. With a successful career, a string of adoring women and a great group of friends, Dylan is living the high life. Thanks to his golden tongue, he’s able to get himself (and his high-paying clients) out of any tight space, with a little ‘spin.’

Then a former girlfriend comes back into his life, with a  3 year-old daughter in-tow. The girl’s not Dylan’s, but he soon finds his priorities realigned when he becomes her sole guardian. Readers will sympathize with Dylan’s desire to hold on to all of the things his old life afforded, but they’ll keep turning the pages to see if he’ll find peace in this new role he never thought he'd be playing.

Once you’ve fallen in love with Baron’s heartfelt storytelling, I’m confident you’ll want to read his newest novel, Leaves, available now for NOOK.

I loved Michael Baron's The Journey Home. So I was thrilled to see today's free read is Spinning. Thanks for all the great books. I love my Nook!

by Hawaii697 on ‎10-05-2012 09:37 AM

I would love this "free" book, however, when I click on the link, it show $4.99.  I clicked on "buy" to make sure it wouldn't charge me, and it still says $4.99.  Can someone help?  Thanks.

by grannymom on ‎10-05-2012 09:44 AM

Spinning is free.  The second book, Twelve Months is recommended by the author but is not free,  I think you may be clicking on the link for the second book Hawaii697.  Good luck.
