"A richly imagined world. Readers will enjoy the mind-bending fun of puzzling together small details."

Una Fairchild is a devoted reader, escaping her less-than-ideal life by losing herself in fairytales. So when she wakes up to find herself ‘written in’ to a sweeping fairytale, she’s initially excited for the adventures ahead. Her new world is populated by her favorite fictional characters, and Una’s delighted to learn about their world. But the plot of Una’s story soon takes a dangerous turn, and she must band together with her newfound friends to make sure they all live happily ever after.

Storybound is a wonderful book for instilling a passion for reading and storytelling in young readers, so make sure you share today’s Free Fridays selection with your favorite little NOOK readers. They’ll be so enthralled with Una’s journey, they’ll want to jump right into her next adventure in the pages of Story’s End, available now on NOOK.

Free Fridays Recommends

Each week, we ask our featured author to recommend a book or author that you may want to check out. Since authors are such passionate readers themselves, we thought you might like to find out what they love to read, too! Here’s what Marissa recommends:

Thank you for all the wonderful posts and taking your time so others can read and download cheaply.  I down books for myself, my three children and my god daughter.  This way everyone has a book to read if they actually forget their own book.  I keep my Nook at the ready all the time.

Jackpot! :smileyhappy:

I'm happy with this imaginative Free Friday selection (won't bother getting on my soapbox again about the inconsiderate grumps who trashed it with 1-star, merely in protest of the genre) plus another helpful book & app so far, courtesy of Butterfly's list.   Appreciate everyone else's suggestions as well. :smileyhappy:

Now I'm off to more closely investigate the half-price sale -- a cursory glance revealed all 3 of the Hunger Games trilogy...

Thank you for such a great haul! (btw, I already have that free Dictionary app, and  heartily recommend it.)

Once again, many thanks.

First people whine that there's no kids books. Now people whine that there's books for kids.

You can't please everyone - so stop whining, your turn will come for free books that you actually find appealing!

Thanks again, B&N for the Free Fridays selections, and thanks to everyone else for all the additional recommendations. I got to thinking last week, and did a little research on all the free apps that are available -- there are currently well over 700 of them !!! Just sea

Okay, just spent WAY too much money on the sale books. Nice job.

Seriously, if you can't find anything you like, I really have to wonder what kind of a reader you really are.

Home sick and my highlight is checking for free books! Thank you for taking the time to post - everyone! Thank you! And for the naysayers....mom always said don't look a gift horse in the mouth. You just might get bit. Thanks everyone!

Sorry, my other message was interrupted. Just search all APS, then sort from lowest price to highest. There were easily 720+ free apps available !!! There are quite a few apps for kids -- including many games and educational items. There are apps for a variety of faiths, both Christian and non-Christian alike, games for grownups, reference and productivity, healthy lifestyle, etc., etc. And if you can't find it for free, there are tons of apps that cost only a buck or two. I started out on a Nook Color, which I gave to a grade school-aged relative. He loves it! I moved up to a Nook Tablet. Both of these products have served me well. When I posted last week, I mentioned that I was in the hospital, and what a lifeline and lifesaver my Nook has been. It has kept me in touch with family and friends, as well as kept me informed and entertained. Hands-down, this was one of the smartest purchases I've ever made. BTW, I go home tomorrow. (Yay!) It'll be a while before I can get back to "normal", but my Nook Tablet will continue to be my trusted companion this journey. Best wishes go everyone for a great weekend!

Thank you so much for the variety of selections for the free books! I like having books on my Nook for the kids to read, and it looks like such a fun story, I may read it too! I really appreciate the amount of work Jeremy goes into selecting books, and everyone else who posts additional free ones. Have a great weekend!
