When shy Grace begins classes at her new school, the usual teenage concerns of fitting in and finding new friends top her list. That is until a minotaur appears, which quickly relegates her more pedestrian high school fears to the back seat. Things go from weird to completely unbelievable when a girl who looks exactly like Grace appears and begins battling the monster.

In this mythology-based adventure, Grace soon finds out that she actually has identical triplet sisters from whom she was separated at birth. The sisters are descendants of Medusa, and now that they’ve been re-united, they must leave their old lives behind to fulfill their monster-slaying destiny.

Sweet Venom is, “Part Percy Jackson, part Beverly Hills 90210—with an acknowledged debt to Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” (VOYA)

See where the triplets’ adventures take them next, in Sweet Shadows, the captivating follow-up to Sweet Venom.

Free Fridays Recommends

Each week, we ask our featured author to recommend a book or author that you may want to check out. Since authors are such passionate readers themselves, we thought you might like to find out what they love to read, too! Here’s what Tera recommends:

NOOK owners: go to shop and search for “Tera Lynn Childs” to download her contemporary mythological adventures.

Thanks Jeremy and B&N this is a great title for that YA habit I must sometimes fill.

I hope everyone has a great weekend with lots of reading material.

In between reading this weekend I have to get my Christmas baking done, then I'll only need a couple of more weeks to get ready for out of town family and holiday celebrations. Oh wait I don't have a couple more weeks, well sleep is over rated :smileyhappy:
