There are very few things that get a kid’s attention like dinosaurs. Those prehistoric beasts make their imaginations run wild. The Berenstain cubs are no different, so when they find out that someone’s stolen genuine fossils from the museum, they are eager to take the case. With the help of Professor Actual Factual, the bears set out to track down the missing fossils and return them to the collection, where everyone will have a chance to enjoy them.
The G-Rex Bones is just one of many fun and wholesome Berenstain Bears adventures available now on NOOK.
The concept is quite simple—you’re at the helm of a ship that’s navigating treacherous waters, and the only way to get your vessel moving is by creating the longest possible word out of the letters scrambled before you. Your ship will be propelled forward with each new word, and the longer the word, the farther it will move you ahead of the other ships that stand in your way. I loved the satisfaction of finding an impressively long word hidden among the letters, and watching my boat sail past the competition!

Each week, we ask our featured author to recommend a book or author that you may want to check out. Since authors are such passionate readers themselves, we thought you might like to find out what they love to read, too! Here’s what Mike Berenstain, the authors’ son who has also written books for the Berenstain Bears series, recommends:
This charming fantasy and its sequels were among my favorites growing up. Not only did they reveal the wonders of such fascinating realms as Tangerina, Popsicornia and Nevergreen City but introduced one of the most whimsically named literary protagonists, Elmer Elevator. Of great interest for me, too, is the fact that they were created by a daughter/mother writing and illustrating team, foreshadowing my own decades-long collaboration with my parents, Stan and Jan.
