Free Fridays!

Categories: Free Fridays

Heavyset Annette Goode is the Yin to beautiful Rhoda Nelson’s Yang but the lasting bond that they form, in the clearly delineated black and white society of 1950’s Ohio, just may be strong enough to insure one another’s survival.

Download the eBook free for an extremely limited time (tomorrow’s going be too late!).

NOOK owners: go to shop, and search “Mary Monroe” for a list of her books.

Paul, can you explain a little about how the "Free Fridays" work?  I had been under the impression that this was a benefit for nook owners only and that the book was made available for free only on that Friday.  I have been so excited about this that I actually added an automatic reminder on my Outlook calendar so that I wouldn't forget to check each Friday for the free ebook.  However, God Don't Like Ugly has been available for free to anyone for at least the past week; I saw a posting about it on Monday on the eBook message board here under the title "New freebies at B&N."

Please don't get me wrong; I really appreciate all of the freebies and perks y'all have offered nook owners (and B&N customers generally)!  I'm just trying to figure out if I don't need to be quite so neurotic about checking in on Fridays (and going to the store on Mondays for the free coupon, and checking on the first of the month for the new L. Ron Hubbard, and . . . :smileyhappy:)

The freebees vary, Brandie. While they're called out on Fridays, the time for which they're available varies. Sometimes they're free for a month, sometimes a week, and sometimes even less. Today's pick, for example, while free earlier in the week, will not be free come tomorrow.

Paul - or other admin - do you think you could get someone to fix the first link on the right of the page, which goes to a "ebook help board" that is obsolete?

It is listed first under Important Links

You bet, romsfuulyn. Thanks for pointing it out!

Okay, probably a stupid question, but how do I get the Free Friday book? Do I have to go through "shop" on the nook, or is there a link here on the B&N website?

You can click through the cover of the book above.

Paul, please state better what "will not be free come tomorrow" means.

Will it be gone by 9pm PDT, because it is midnight EDT? Or does it mean local time?

I got bitten by that stuff before, if you remember...

Trying to find out the exact time now, Joe, but let's go with 12PM EST tonight until I confirm. Thanks.

The corollary to "God don't like ugly" is "sub don't like boring."

NEXT!

Chelsea, honey, can you get me another beer?  Thanx babe.

I guess Sunday afternoon is too late even though the ad says tomorrow will be to late. these posts are not dated. So did I miss out  on this free book?Tell me it isn't so.

For some reason I did not realize that Free Friday specials were ONLY on that day. I left town this week and got back Sunday (today), only to find out that I could no longer download my much awaited Free Friday book. Bummer.  I did, however find it for $0 on the Sony ebookstore mignonart. I thought the Friday books were out there for a week before.
