To set up the trilogy, which follows the collective fates of the Rohan family and the bevy of women who cross their thresholds, the prequel, The Wicked House of Rohan, is being offered for free.

Speaking of hot, and this one goes beyond blistering, Cathryn Fox's All Tied Up recently became free. Warning: bring a fire extinguisher if you decide to download this one!

NOOK owners: go to shop, and search “Anne Stuart” and "Cathryn Fox" for a list of their books.

Thank you for giving out some freebees!! I am always looking for new authors and can't wait to check out these books!! :smileyhappy:

Hope you enjoy them, Suszy!

Both of these books were already free prior to today.  And both of them are short stories, not full novels.

Right, blubby. While we highlight free titles on Fridays, at times they are free prior to the Friday in question. Other times, the planets align and the day the title is highlighted is the exact same day it becomes free. Stay tuned for next Friday; it's going to be one of those galactic times...

I just want to point out how rude it is to complain about something that is given to you free. Paul as always I appreciate all of the great reads you give us. I've read so many new things by authors I'd never normally pick up. The Strangely Beautiful series for one. So thank you again to Paul for expanding all of our horizons!

Well said Wrking21.  I've been reading free selections all summer and they've been fantastic.  Thanks!

Freebies are always nice.  Thank you!

I am SO ready for an aligning of the planets.  Thumbs up Paul!

Sorry to have to point out a grammatical error.  Paul, you wrote than look no further.  It should be then look no further.

by BlkZee on ‎07-23-2010 11:28 AM

I'm really enjoying the free BN classics! Thanks so much!

by boogiebuggs on ‎07-23-2010 11:33 AM

I'm sure it was just a simple typo, as opposed to a "grammatical error."  But, in reality, who on earth cares???  THEY'RE GIVING US FREE READING MATERIAL, FOR GOODNESS SAKE.  GET WITH THE PROGRAM, FOLKS!!!  And, as always, thank you, Barnes & Noble.

P.S.  If I've made any typos and/or "grammatical errors," please just keep them to yourself/selves and let me just go about my happy day, blissfully ignorant and basking in the knowledge that I am not perfect, as apparently others are.

Yep. That one always trips me up, Jay. Heck, it took me over two years to grasp the whole "there, their, they're" rule. In any case, it's fixed now.

by Cheap_Reader on ‎07-23-2010 12:02 PM

Just curious why you don't include the free build your library classics in your free Friday info?

by JoeCA on ‎07-23-2010 12:05 PM

I was about to ask the same thing.

The classics are here:

Currently offering books that inspired movies.
