Free Fridays

Categories: Free Fridays

“Erin Kellison has created a book that’s almost hard to categorize. It’s a well-crafted mystery, thriller, paranormal romance that will absolutely hook you. Romance readers will definitely get their romance; urban fantasy fans will get a gritty urban underground fantasy; and paranormal lovers will get the unexpected, because there isn’t a vampire, werewolf, or shape shifter in sight. In short, it’s an absolute original.”

High praise indeed! And, if you like Shadow Bound (I’m sure you will!), Erin’s second book, Shadow Fall is now available.

NOOK owners: go to shop, and search “Erin Kellison” to download her books.

There has not been a good quality free book for a while now.  What is up with all these paranormal books, and those with phantoms and vampires?  If this is what the majority of nook readers want, then I am greatly saddened.

I'm not. Thanks for the free book! Sounds interesting.

It was a mystery last week, BooksRmeTX and a middle-grade selection the week before, but thanks for chiming in. Unfortunately, you didn't mention what types of books appeal to you...

Thanks for the free Friday books!  Have a great weekend!

Paul,

No offense, but I do agree with BooksRmeTX.  There is an ample supply of this week's type book available in the Free eBooks library as it is.

I would prefer to see more more mysteries or suspense fiction.  Just as examples, books similar to "Beyond Reach", "Rules of Deception", "Lost Symbols", "Free to Die", "Midnight in Death" etc. being provided as the Free Fridays selection.

Overall I do think you do a great job here.

I appreciate any and all free books. I think this is one of the better ones here recently. Thank you so much!!!

Stop whining people seriously lol.  These books are FREE.  If you don't want em then don't download them.  Several weeks have been things that I don't want...so I don't download them, not complain that it wasn't something from my personal reading list every week.  I have noticed a lot of variety.  And if the ebooks you want are already free...then download them!

Geez, honestly, every week someone has to complain about something that's free.  What is the world coming to lol.  Anyway, I downloaded it and I think you do an awesome job around here Paul!

Paul.....I will tell you the types of books I like:  An excellent novel, like Shadow of the Wind,  The Time Traveller's Wife,  The Lost Painting, Suite Francaise.  Historical novels or biographies like Sally Hemmings: A Novel, one of the many about Frank Lloyd Wright and his loves, Shining Through by Susan Isaacs.  Humorous books like ones by Sarah Vowell, George Carlin or Kathy Griffin --- or someone less political or brash ----- just laugh out loud funny.  I think we could all use a good laugh.  Paul, we are asking for meat, books that make us think, and you are giving us fluff.  I don't care if it was written yesterday or 30 years ago.  Educate us, move us, lift us, empower us.

I've enjoyed getting the free book on Friday. So far the only one I haven't downloaded was the western... not my favorite genre of book. I haven't read all of them yet, but the ones I have I have enjoyed.

Also, by getting a free book every week, it helps to save me money. Which is a definate benefit of being a nook owner.

Sounds great! Thanks Paul!

Paul,

Great...I look forward to it.

Steffie,

I don't view our comments as complaints.  I think it is just providing input as to what we would like to see.  I believe it has got to be hard for Paul to come up witha new free book every week.  By us giving him some insight to our likes, I would think it would make it a little easier for him.  Like I said in my previous posting, overall I think Paul does a great job here.
