Free Fridays!

Categories: Free Fridays

Jack Yu, a local kid turned NYPD detective, returns to his old stomping grounds to investigate a series of rapes and is immediately confronted by a close-lipped society who are leery of authority of any kind, even one of their own.

Chinatown Beat is a rich, atmospheric mystery that perfectly sets up the Jack Yu Investigations series and is followed by Year of the Dog and Red Jade.

NOOK owners: go to shop, and search “Henry Chang” for a list of his books.

Hey Paul,

Hope you are having a good Free Friday.

I have been looking forward to the selection of the week for several days. The books that are featured are not ones that I would normally read or even consider but because of this great benefit that is available to us Nook owners it has opened me up to new, exciting books and authors.

I find myself getting in to ruts of reading books by the same author's over and over. I am pleased to be offered these free Fridays, it has opened my eyes to new genre's and author's.

Thanks for the great picks and Happy Halloween.

As someone who is very familiar with San Francisco's Chinatown, it'll be interesting for me to compare and contrast New York's enclave. Thank you for another great Friday freebie!
