Free Fridays

Categories: Free Fridays

Bradley P. Beaulieu makes a strong case for himself as a writer to watch with his assured debut novel. This epic fantasy brings to life a conflict centering on the imperial archipelago kingdom of Khalakovo, which is faced with a plague of wasting disease and an indigenous rebellion. As the kingdom searches for the origin of their recent troubles, a mysterious young man emerges who may either be the cause or the solution.

The Winds of Khalakavo is a great chance to read an excellent novel from a rising star.

Bonus Free Fridays Short Story:

Whether you're new to the series or already well-acquainted with the adventures of Finder's private spy protagonist Nick Heller, Plan B  is a must-read. Finder is a master of the thriller novel, and in this short story, he ratchets up the excitement immediately. When Heller is sent to Barcelona to rescue a young girl being held captive in a walled compound, even his formidable talent is put to the test by the state-of-the-art security. But like any great spy, when things go south, he always has a Plan B in place.

If Finder's Nick Heller grabs your attention in this tightly-woven short story, watch for his upcoming novel, Buried Secrets, coming in June.

One of the great things about Free Fridays is the chance to read a genre I wouldn't normally buy. Thanks for exposing me to some interesting fiction!

Thanks for something different. This is a nice change for those of us that don't read the supernatural and young adult selections.

by spinndiva on ‎05-27-2011 09:18 PM

I just got through reading all the comments on last weeks selection.

I'm just going to say "THANK YOU!" For all the free books I got so far. Some were books I would not usually read because I'm not a 20 something, but I stuck my nose in anyway and found I do like it. Not everything I read has to be a shakespearian effort! I appreciate a nice little "no brainer" read for an interlude.

And you know what? If I don't like it at all, at least I did not pay for it.

So what did I loose? A few little mb of storage on my Nook...and I even get those back when I delete the book...

I say ROCK ON with Free Fridays! Make them as freaky and out there as you can! Have fun with the FREE BOOKS! Throw us a curb ball in the reading department now and then and see what we do with it! Not all of us are wearing blinders and run only straight ahead.
