Free Fridays

Categories: Free Fridays

Today’s Free Fridays selection—The Rules of Life  by Richard Templar—is an international bestseller that has inspired millions of readers worldwide.

While many self-improvement books offer advice that seems overly abstract or too daunting to even take the first step, Richard Templar does an excellent job of distilling his wisdom into easy-to-execute common sense rules. Templar’s code focuses on building a better, happier, more successful life, both in business and your personal relationships. You can implement his easy, direct advice immediately, helping you master important skills like forgiving without being a pushover and having big dreams while still making practical steps to achieve them.

Once you’ve implemented Templar’s rules, you can explore his guides to more specific categories like Money, Management, Love and more here.

Free Fridays Recommends

Each week, we ask our featured author to recommend a book or author that you may want to check out. Since authors are such passionate readers themselves, we thought you might like to find out what they love to read, too! Here’s what Richard recommends:

Jon M. Huntsman's Winners Never Cheat is much more than a book on business.  It's a book about how to business effectively, ethically, and generously. Huntsman teaches us that as times change, situations change, and our lives change, our basic values must never change. These values will see you through hard times and help make you, and the rest of the world, better off in the end.

NOOK owners: go to shop and search for “Richard Templar” to download his inspiring books.

Thanks, Jeremy, Spec, JfroJeff and the B&N community.  What a great day!  It's wonderful to see such support out there.  With all the options, there is usually something for everyone.  It is a shame that some people see the glass half-empty as opposed to half-full, but today is BEAUTIFUL!  Thank you for all the wonderful choices in free reads.  You are all appreciated!

I love Free Fridays, but this is a bit of a disappointment.  I already have the book (for free).  I thought the Free Friday  books were special and not normally available for free, but I got this one on 12/30/11.  I feel bad about being a whiner, but I thought this was designed to be a showcase for books not available for free.

Thank you Spec and Jeff for your hard work!  Jeff- only an hour to put the list together - WOW.

Thanks so much for coming back, JfroJeff!! A stellar list as usual and plenty for me to keep busy with. Looking forward to checking out a lot of your recommendations. You made my Friday! Thanks!

I've only had my NOOK a few months and already have a bazillion books on it.  :smileyhappy:  I just figured out how to "laurel" and post - duhhhh

I want to thank, so verrrrry much the ones, who put out the free Friday lists.  Without their help, some of us newbies wouldn't have all we have.

Okay, to Jeff:  Don't leave because of a few mo Rons with nothing good to say....some people can't be pleased.  Just want you to know that for every one of them there are a hundred of us who need and want your help.  This includes Spec, Jeremy and Mac Mck:  your lists are invaluable and thanx to Mac for his direction to finding the lists and even more free books.  Without your guidance, Friday wouldn't be near the fun it is.  I look forward to my Friday pleasures.

Thanx so much!!!!!  YOU ALL ARE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.  :smileyhappy:
