Jance’s Hour of the Hunter – which follows a cross-dressing convict who is hell bent on revenge -- is described as a “novel of suspense” and if that isn’t the understatement of the year, I’ll eat my keyboard.

Download the book, which contains an excerpt from the recently released Queen of Night, for FREE for a very limited time and if you like Jance as much as my old man does, check out her books featuring the super sleuths, J.P. Beaumont, Joanna Brady, and Ali Reynolds.

NOOK owners: go to shop, and search “J.A. Jance” for a list of her titles.

Thanks Paul. I have read a few of the J.A. Jance books and enjoyed them. I will try this one. I am sure I will enjoy the book. But it would be fun to watch you eat a keyboard.

I think the hardest part, pen, will be the space key...

I can't figure out how to get the free book.   Guess I'm going to have to keep reading paperback/hardback books.

Click through the cover in the post, Celia.

Thanks, Paul!  What a nice cap to Mystery Freebie Friday at Barnes and Noble.

Hello Paul,

Thank you for free book today.

I'm curious what's the difference between this edition (marked as "free edition with bonus material") and this one:

Thanks for the freebie--I love J A Jance, but haven't read any of this series. A great treat on a beautiful Friday!

Thank you Paul! I love Free Fridays!!

Thanks for the free book.  Because of Free Fridays, I now have several new authors to add to my collection -- not necessarily a good thing, as I never seem to get anything done anymore, except read my Nook!

I just came back from a family reunion.  Of course I took my Nook, and told everyone about it.  I wouldn't be surprised if there were several new owners soon.  Hope you come up with something exciting like Free Fridays for them!

"I never seem to get anything done anymore, except read my Nook!"

Love to hear that, Linda!

TGIF! Look forward to Fridays..My library collection is stacked!..I love it! Thanks bn for a great way to read new authors works or authors I would not routinely read because I had not heard of them...

I LOVE MY NOOK!!!! My husband does to because he does not have to pick up the "books" I have "lying out everywhere". How cool is that?

Thanks again bn..See you next Friday!

Paul:

Thanks to you and B&N!  I love Free Fridays, expanding my collection on my Nook (which I absolutely adore and have gotten several friends to buy one) and learning about new genres along with new authors!   You're the best!!!!

I love Free Fridays but this time you lost me at cross dressing convict.  I don't think I qualify as a prude, I got far worse sins than anybody I know, but I don't get anything from that, no interest at all.  Sorry me, I know, but the rest of you enjoy it.
