Have been eagerly anticipating Dan Brown's next book, but have heard nothing for a long time. Any word on when we will be seeing a new novel from him?

I have been eagerly awaiting Orson Scott Card's new Ender book, Shadows in Flight, which is due out January 17.  The ebook was listed as a preorder for awhile, but now I can't find it!  The hardcover is still listed, but I would love to have it as an ebook - what happened to it?

Carlissa: Tor/Macmillan no longer lists the ebook version of Shadows in Flight as being available for pre-order. Amazon has it listed for February 1 of 2013, but I think that might be just a placeholder.

Over at Card's blog, Hatrack River, he explains that Shadows in Flight isn't the book that was originally being written under the title Shadows in Flight (and now called Shadows Alive), but rather a shorter work originally conceived as a Kindle-only multi-media experience and then re-conceived as a multi-platform multi-media experience. The article is very confusing, but as nearly as I can tell, there were also supposed to be straight ebook versions of the "new" Shadows in Flight.

At this point, neither the multi-media nor the straight ebook versions appear on Tor's release schedule. I suggest you write a short e-mail to Card, asking about the ebook release dates. He has a "contact" page at Hatrack River where you can drop him a note.

Thanks, Doug, for the info on Shadows in Flight.  I will check out Card's blog.

My book club is looking forward to LONE WOLF.  We've read all of Jodi's books.  This looks like another great book.  Can't wait.
